A Bold & Bright Tuscany Wedding

Emma and Stephen were married on August 19, 2022 in the beautiful Villa La Ferdinanda, Artimino, Italy.

Chic, fresh and bold are the words to describe Emma and Stephenâ€™s summer wedding in Tuscany, Italy and its color palette of oranges and pinks. This color combo really stood out against the green background of the beautiful Villa La Ferdinanda, Artimino.

To follow on with the Italian theme, the bride chose an Italian designed backless ivory dress and the couple had an Italian organist and soprano perform at the ceremony.

Emma and Stephen said being surrounded by the people they loved and the sunshine was the best part of their wedding day.

Our wedding theme/colours... We always knew from the day we got engaged that we wanted to get married in Italy after attendingStephenâ€™s brotherâ€™s wedding nine years earlier at Artimino. We loved the food and wine we experienced in Italy, the relaxing atmosphere and of course the amazing weather. Our theme was bold and bright summer chic and we choose orange and pink flowers to match the bridesmaid dresses.

Our ceremony... Took place in the quaint church of San Martino it was in the heart of the countryside and was perfect in every possible way. We had an organist and soprano who made it a truly authentic Italian occasion.

My dress... I choose an Italian designed dress in ivory. It was backless with a crystal detail down the centre.

We chose our venue because.... We viewed six places in Italy, all in the Tuscan region, but Villa La Ferdinanda blew us away! It was intimate but so grand at the same time. We have been to Artimino before so we knew what to expect but we never imagined it would be so perfect and beautiful. The team at Artimino, in particular Elena and Alessandro, are so inviting, helpful and friendly and go the extra mile to help no matter how small the query.

The setting was just perfect. From the moment we walked up the steps of our venue we knew it would be beautiful for our wedding photos with the stunning backdrop of the Tuscan landscape.

My favourite part of the wedding day... was getting back to the villa to join our guests for a drink. We were surrounded by the people we loved and enjoyed the sunshine before going inside to have our meal. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was, it was like a five star restaurant.

My advice for other brides... Choose a venue with a wedding planner that wants to put as much attention into your special day as you. List everything that is really important and go through a checklist with the planner so see if you are both on the same page.
