In the copious amounts of wedding dress collections for Spring/Summer 2013, there were plenty of new trends gracing the catwalks; short wedding dresses, high-low hemlines, lace sleeves, illusion necklines, but one trend that we saw over and over again was the short overskirt on the waistlines of longer dresses, aka the peplum skirt. It's a style that can be seen in all shapes and sizes, fabrics and cuts. The peplum adds an extra dimension to the waistline, in a very romantic and dramatic way! Some designers go for bundles of drama with plenty of fabric and tulle, while others keep it simple and chic with a straight, no-fuss skirt. Whatever way you choose to wear the peplum, you'll not only be a show-stopper, you'll be a trend-setter too!
