Fergus and Anna Hannigan celebrated their wedding in a wonderfully laid back country classic style. The couple tied the knot in the quaint Killilagh Church in Delvil, before hopping into a ridiculously cool vintage red convertible and on to Middleton Park House, Westmeath. “We were looking for a country house that we could take over for the day,” said Anna about how they came to holding their wedding in the chic, modern estate that is Middleton Park House. The venue was ideal for the couple and their guests, giving them exclusive access to the grounds and to the magnificently decorated house where everything could be held under the same roof. Dublin based photographer Peter Rowen was there to capture the following stunning documents of the day.

We met... at college, we were in the same course.
Anna’s impressions of Fergus... he was very funny and made me laugh.
Fergus’s first impressions of Anna... Anna is beautfiul and always smiling.
Our proposal... Fergus Proposed on our 7th anniversary - around Christmas time. He hung the ring on the Christmas tree just above my presents.
My dress... Lusan Mandongus from de Stafford Bridal.
Our ceremony... we had a traditional church ceremony in Killulagh Church in Delvin. It was small pretty and perfect for our numbers.
Our wedding theme/colours... 'Country Classic'.
My favourite part of the wedding day... when we drove off from the church as husband and wife. We had hired our own car so there was no chauffeur and we had some time to ourselves. We hired the car from courtyardclassiccars.com who were really nice to deal with and straightforward.

We chose our venue because... We were looking for a country house that we could take over for the day. We wanted it to be in Meath or Westmeath, because we are both from there. Middleton Park House was one of the only venues where you had your meal and dancing in the house itself, a lot of the other venues we viewed this would have to take place in a marquee.
We chose our photographer because... We chose Peter Rowen because his work looked great on the website and we got a recommendation from someone Fergus works with. He really made us feel at ease and was great with our guests.
Our honeymoon... We went to Greece visted some island and finished off with a city break in Athens.
My piece of advice for other brides... If you are happy, relaxed and having a good time everyone else will. So lead by example not just on the day but throughout.
Special Recommendations
Our band... We couldn't let this go by without mentioning the band. Hugely popular with all our guests and keep everyone dancing all night. Great alternative to the usual wedding music. The Converse Allstars, based in Galway - alternativeweddingband.ie.
