Ex won't leave me alone.

I have the most amazing man that would do anything for me. I have never loved anyone the way I love him. I don’t want anything to mess this up. The problem is an ex-boyfriend of mine is being an ass. We were only seeing each other for a few months. (Long time ago) Now he has told me he loves me and doesn’t want me to marry my h2b. I had problems before with this man, I have told him lots of times I’m not in love with him. I don’t know why he is being like this we weren’t in love when we were together; it was just a bit of fun. He has told me he is going to have words with my h2b about all of this. My man knows all about this problem, I told him the minute it started but I’m worried it will cause a fight. I know it’s not a big problem but I feel sick with the worry. Has anyone else had this kind of problem with an ex and how did you solve it?

To be honest I think the only way to deal with this is to tell him where to go. Make it clear that he is nothing to you and that you don't want anything to do with him. It doesn't sound like it's possible to be friends with someone like this, especially if you're getting married and he's causing problems. If you've had problems with him before and you're worried about it or if he's harrassing you or your fiance then it may be time to call the guards?

Honestly? Id go to the guards. I had to before. They ask do you want to make a formal complaint. I just said I wanted it to stop, so they just contacted the guy and warned him, never heard anything since, but if I did again I would be making it formal.

+1 with this. But I would warn him one last time that you don't want him contacting you or your OH etc and that are feeling harassed by him. Tell him to get lost or you're going to the Gardaí, end of. If he keeps it up then head down to the Garda Station and talk to them about it. Keep a diary of all the times he calls, texts etc, record everything as it'll strengthen your case if he doesn't cop on.

Thank you ladies, I know you’re all right. I am very lucky that my OH has been great about it but something has to be done. If he comes near me again I will warn him about going to the guards.

How did you get on lovegirl? I really feel for you in this situation, it's not easy. My ex turned into a pest within an hour of me breaking it off, and it went on for a very long time. I changed my mobile number within a week but he used to ring my parents landline at all hours of the night when he was drunk and I didn't even live at home, I was away in university!!! He even managed to call my apartment there once as he knew the name of the apartment complex where I lived so he called reception and asked to speak to me and the idiots put him through, this was at least 6 months later!!! :eek :eek :eek I told him never to ring me again and called him a ba$tard... And he kept writing me letters, which I didn't read.... I mean he treated me like dirt, cheated me all the time, I'd had more than enough of that and wanted nothing more to do with him. The phone calls to my parents did stop but they've since moved house so have a different number.
