I am quite direct and honest so please don't take this up the wrong way it just may be a different angle to look at things for you. I realise why you are upset as your hubby has broken a contract that you and he made before entering into your marriage. But unfortunately ye did get married for better or worse and this just happens to be the worse. If (god forbid) our hubby got into an accident and you had to look after him full time, you would stay with him and give up your current lifestyle to look after him as you did marry him for better or worse. I am only painting another for worse 'senario' for you.
My point is that things change in life and relationships and we have to deal with them as partners and not one against the other. I am not saying you should go off and have a baby just because he wants it but you really should talk to him about it before things get any worse. Just go in with the attitude that at the end of the day your marriage is the most important thing and if ye are both prepared to hear each other out and be reasonable, you should be able to work it out.
Please don't Judge me on the fact that I have 2 kids as I completely respect peoples decisions not to have children and this is not why I have given the above advice.
I really hope you and your hubby are able to talk things out and I really don't envy your situation. hth xx

OP, I really don't think I can say anything to help but I am also one of those 'strange women' who don't want kids (and I say strange as in what alot of people think NOT me!!) DH said he was 100% the same and we even discussed this on our first date as it was a definate deal breaker for me if the guy wanted kids! However we are 4 years married and every so often DH says he would like a kid or starts to question why I don't want one making me feel like there is something wrong with me cos I'm a woman who doesn't want to have a child, as you said it is bad enough the neighbours say it but when DH starts it hurts alot more! We usually end up argueing briefly and DH says that in reality he doesn't want kids either but just every now and again he gets broody - it may be after watching some soppy dad with his cute perfect daughter on tv or something!!!! Anyway I was just wondering if your OH is 100% serious that he has changed his mind or is it just a passing thought like my husband gets. DH also says it worries him that he will be alone when he is old but also realises that this alone is not a good enough reason to have a child of our own!!
