It really would MrsDuffy2b! I came off the pill because I had no sex drive. It was really getting me down. I am a different person now! I will not be going back on the pill!

Yeah I didn't realise it was the pill until I came off it, was worried I didn't fancy him anymore haha! Although don't expect miracles if you do come off it, there is a certain amount of laziness when you're living together a while (for me anyway!)

I'll be honest, I did kind of like the risk of getting pregnant when I came of the pill (even though it would be bad).. but it scared OH too much!!

I'm on the pill for donkeys, I was on Yasmin up to recently and switched to Microlite to see if it would boost ye olde libido but no such luck, have just turned into a lunatic! Poor H2B...
Anyway thinking of coming off altogether, maybe wait till after the wedding. Sorry if this is TMI

but is DTD not a bit crap once you're used to no condoms? Any time we have had to use them because of pill mess ups I feel like I have a sandwich bag inside me :-8

Will we get used to it again?!

I couldn't go back to just condoms until we would be happy to get pregnant. I would be terrified. On the pill almost 10 years now and we always use a condom as well! Safety first :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Then again I've first hand experience of the condom and MAP not working, and a daily reminder by my Ds! So I'm petrified of it happening again when I'm not ready.

I went off the pill and onto condoms and thought it might be a problem, but it really wasn't for OH or me. We got used to them really fast, and I ended up preferring to use them for certain reasons! Just make sure you try different types and get the right ones. Once we got lubed Mates condoms which were really cheap in boots, and they were better than any durex, have't found them since though

Edit: I started microlite a couple months ago and apart from the first month spotting, have found it fine so far. Had problems with nausea with some of the higher dose pills.

Haha Mrs2014.... Its true!! At the moment I absolutely hate them.... But I guess I'll have to get used to it. Petrified of coming off the pill before the wedding incase my skin blows up or I get fat... We arent going on honeymoon until Feb so we might come off it before then and see how we go with "hats" as we call them :yelrotflmaosmilie:

I doubt if we will actually try to get preggers then or just see how cycle goes etc. Hopefully libido comes back with a bang too on honeymoon and I'll be gagging for it - hat or no hat >:o)

I've never used any other form of contraception except condoms. Both of us have no trouble with them, and enjoy a happy sex life. I considered the implanon alright, but my OH sees it as a bit obtrusive (he doesn't like the idea of me having to put something like that in my body), so we will stay with the condoms.

So glad I had a read of this thread - I've been on the pill (a few different ones, but Yasmin @ the mo) since I met my H2B 8 years ago. After about year two my interest in sex has dwindles and now I find it a real effort. I do obviously enjoy it once I'm doing it, but I never look forward to it or initiate it! I did ask my Dr about it, but she told me that it wasn;t a result of being on the pill and gave me contact details for a sex therapist! :-8

Having read all of your posts I think I'll stick with it until after the wedding and then it's definitely going to be a thing of the past!

Was just flipping through some of the post's here ... And its prob just the one's i've read but does anyone just use the pill as their protection... majority of what ive read are using the pill and condoms...

How did I not know that the pill could affect my sex drive. All making sense now. I have been on it for 3yrs since having our LO and am coming off it at the moment to give my body a break plus I am hoping to start trying at Christmas. Unfortunately Oh won't be around for the next 5 months to reap the benefits :o0

We only use the pill. We have never used a condom so it would be weird to start now :o0

all my friends use both .... And think im a complete nut job just depending on my pill :-8

I've no sex drive either and im the same girls, don't go looking for it but once DTD i love every second of it and don't want it to end!! I miss my sex drive!! It used to be Insanely high!!!
