Just wondering if anyone has stayed at this resort? Secrets Capri and Maroma seem to be popular on this site. If anyone has stayed in Secrets Silversands I would love to hear what it was like?

very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor are making me nervous, hence looking for some feedback from someone that has stayed there.

have to say the place looks fab and reviews are great we are going the 2nd of Aug cant wait. :o)ll

What i will say is shop around as the first travel agents we went to was very expensive compared to what we actually got it for

We stayed in Secrets Capri last year and it was awesome. Silversands is actually supposed to be even nicer with one of the best beaches in the area. While I always use Tripadvisor, I would take some of the bad reviews with a pinch of salt as some peoples expectations can never been met even when they are staying in paradise!

Girls only in the early stage of planning our wedding but this place looks amazing. Whens a good time to go to Mexico? We are getting married abroad so will prob wait a little while before going on honeymoon!!! PS rude I know but what kind of price are you looking at? I would ideally love a few days in Vegas then pure luxury in Cancun :o)ll

Hey all!!

We stayed in secrets silversands last June for our hm.........it was AMAZING!!!! We also read mixed reviews on tripadvisor but as someone else said most people only post there if hotel was bad!

replied to a few mexico threads tonight so dont want to bore ppl, but everything about hotel was fab...from the beach to the bars and resturants...so so many to choose from!!! beach is nice too (im not too keen on th beach but dh loves it so he went everyday for a swim or took out a boat a couple of days (incuded in all inclusive) rooms were lovely too! cocktails were fab....service aroung pool was great...(obv if u tip at start of day by pool and again at end of day you'll get better service...unfortunatly the americcans ruin it...they tip like they are paying for th drinks even tho its all inclusive!!) but we tried to tip th same person each day and they took care of us...as soon as we got to th pool they would arrive with little bottles of ice water, then a while later come with the cocktail of the day or glass of sparkly and then do th rounds around th pool all day!!! I could go on all day about it, so any questions just ask!!! food was great too....we complained one night as in the itialian resturant they charge some crazy money for a cheese plate even tho it did not state on menu there was an extra charge so we complained, and thought we got no where...got to our room after being at th bar for a few and there was a knock on th door with room service of a massive cheese plate and bottle of champaigne foc!

we booked here too were going in may cant wait....looks brill ....the accomadation whats the craic with that? ocean view was a lot more expensive does this mean we have a small crappy room?

We would also love to do Vegas and Cancun, Silversands looks amazing! Any idea on how long the flight is from Cancun to Vegas? Would I be better off doing Cancun first to relax after the wedding myahem and then on to crazy vegas? Might stop in NYC for 2 nights on the way home!! Its all so exciting isnt it!
