BUDGET FOR HONEYMOON

Finally - after many quotes & much research - I have booked our honeymoon! I was trying to save as much money as possible as HM is not working full time unfortunately and I couldn't justify the 4 - 6000 I was seeing was the norm couples are spending on average. Anyway I lucked out and got us a 12 Night Med & Greek Isle Cruise for 1569Euro Each! & thats in a Balcony Cabin & includes flights from Dublin to Port of Departure, Barcelona, return - Cha Ching! etravel.ie in dublin is who I booked with - great saving pheweeeeeeee.

JP to be, that sounds like a great deal! Myself an OH went on a 7 day cruise last year and loved every minute of it - he proposed on the balcony! The only thing we said was 7 days was too short, so 12 will be perfect. :o)ll

we had budgeted 4000 but dont think we will get what we wanted we hoped for 3 weeks something like 3 nts or 4 in NYC then san fran for 3 or 4 nts again Cali for 4 nites vagas for 2 nts and a sun week in mexico. prices for flights alone seem to be coming in at or around the 4k mark :o(

We really want a dream honeymoon cos we havent been on hols since the yr before we got engaged trying to save!! And it will prob b our last hol for years

Sounds like a fab trip guys! How long are you planning to spend in Dubai? We're thinking of flying into Dubai before heading on somewhere else but we're not sure what there is to do in Dubai. Would love to hear your ideas?

We did get upgraded free of charge one time in Mexico & in the Venetian in Las Vegas cause they thought we were on honeymoon, so its no harm asking for one.

We are staying 3 nights in Dubai in the Al Mujoor. Have no plans really for Dubai yet. Was looking at the Desert Safari & maybe try a lunch in the Burj Al Arab. As we will be doing alot in stuff in South Africa just wanted to relax & take it easy before we go home. Himself wants to try & get to a race meeting if there is one on in Meydan while we are there. Other than that it will be relax by the pool & maybe have a look around in the shopping centre in the evening.

Sound pretty much like exactly what we have booked....We're going from Rome, 10 nights with a balcony cabin 2 nights in Rome before hand and all flights, taxes etc for €3700 between us! Were not going till next August tho so still a looooonnnnngggg way to go!!!

I am going to Aruba in August, the cost to fly for 2 weeks all inclusive from Cork was €8000, I couldn't justify that as that would cost nearly as much as the reception, I found the same holiday to the same place for £3886 which is roughly €4500 with an english company called Holiday Hypermarket, Happy days cant wait to go now

We were on a very tight budget (for a honeymoon anyway), got exactly what we water though. 10 nights in Italy for €3000, flights/accom/transfers. :o)ll

We finally booked our honeymoon with Trailfinders (a guy called Brian Hynes - he made it so easy and fun). Going to Malaysia SOOOOOOOO excited! :o)ll

I'd recommend a few days in Borneo, go to see the orangutans. Amazing place. Maybe the perhentian islands too? Gorgeous place.

Don't spend long in KL, not much there, but the rest of the country is amazing.

We´re going to Pangkor Laut for a week, then 5 days in Borneo (Kota Kinabulu), then the last 2 days in KL. Lots of places to choose from! Have fun!
