Cuba- honeymoon Destination??

Hi-
myself and my H2B are considering going to Cuba on our honeymoon but havent heard that much about Cuba before?

Can anyone recommend Cuba as a honeymoon destination for May 2013?

Can't recommend it, but it's where we're planning to go may 2013 too, looking to do 2 1/2 weeks in varadero and the 4 nights in havana :o)ll our travel agent has advised us to go for the best hotels, as there's a big difference between a 4* in Dominican republic/Mexico than there would be in Cuba. But really want to go there, it's where we've talked about going since the night we met!

I can definitely recommend Cuba as a holiday destination! However it depends on the type of Honeymoon you want! I have travelled extensively throughout Cuba and would return there in a heart beat!

Can you recommend any hotels in Cuba?
We are thinking of doing a few nights in havana and then about 7 nights in varadero
having looked a few hotels in Varadero they are nothing compared to ones I looked at in Cancun so not sure

Have been to cuba and loved it but if you are looking for gergous food and beuitful hotels you wont get them in cuba.But if it is culture ect that you what it is well worth going for i would also go back in a heart beat.

A 4 star hotel would be about a 3 star in other places.but then it is a lot cheeper to go there than some of the other island.All the islands have something diffrent to offer.
