Hi, we went on the Oasis back in Feb for a week and we spent roughly €1000 onboard. We didn't buy the wine or soda packages and dh drank cocktails and white russians to bate the band. We also played a fair bit of bingo at $50 a game and we played some slots in the casino. There is a cocktail of the day which is about $6 and you get to keep the glass :) Try the BBC it's divine, it's frozen and made of baileys, creme de banana and pina colada mix mmmmm. I drink double vodka and redbull. It's €12.50 here and its only $10 onboard. They pour huge measures so no need for asking (and paying) for doubles.

Are ye booking excursions? These can be quite expensive but they'll be paid for before ye go so it won't count in your actual spending money.
I'm so jealous of you going of on your cruise. What ship are ye going on?

We went on the Oasis last year, spent about 900 on board and did not hold back. Drinks are not over priced. We brought our own booze on board as well, put it in your checked in bag, probably won't be found and if it is they give it back at the end of the cruise, do not carry it on cos the x ray machines will detect it. Also google rum runners, they are usedto bring booze on board and are supposed to be undetectable. The excursions is the one thing you can spent a lot on so I would say a cruise can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it. I found the spa expensive on board so did not book it beforehane but during the cruise they had happy hour in the spa so I availed of that.

Oh thats the one we did, Haiti, Jamaica and Cozumel :) We loved the Castaway at Malfini one in Haiti. It was adults only and a maximum of 30. It was like a desert island, we just chilled and drank rum punch lazing on the beach. It was really nice except for the toilet that was kind of gross. In saying that I don't think I'd book that excursion again as there were loads of beaches at Haiti and we could have chilled for free. It kind of looks like Jurassic park with the big wooden archway signs and all the greenery. I loved it.

Jamaica- we did the Irie Mon beach break, it was a good day but not worth the €100. There are all inclusive resorts like Rose hall that are €70 and would be a lot better. You book this privately so I'd look into that if I were you.

Cozumel- We just shopped at the port, had a very expensive drink at senor frogs and got back onboard. I think I would have swam with the dolphins if I had another chance to get back here. I know on board a lot of people said that this was their favourite port for snorkelling and stuff. I know one family got quite a few jelly fish stinggs there too so something to think about.
