Dubai restaurants

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for restaurants in the Jumeirah area of Dubai. Hubby and I heading over for a week on 9th May, staying at the Grosvenor, and looking for somewhere nice for a couple of fancy dinners. I know it's really expensive to eat out - I don't mind paying maybe €150/€160 for a special dinner but wouldn't be keen on going higher than that if we can avoid it! Will be eating in McDonalds on the other nights probably :-8

Rostang in The Atlantis is gorgeous :lvs :lvs :lvs

From memory, it's a French restaurant. You order your main course but your starter is up to yourself. There's an amazing fish (all kinds - shellfish/patés etc.) buffet; a salad bar; a cured meats buffet....the list goes on! Then afterwards there's the most amazing dessert buffet and a GORGEOUS cheeseboard. I'd highly recommend it!
(BTW when I say "buffet" it's not exactly your run-of-the-mill buffet that we're used to here - it's out of this world!)

Go to the Madinat Jumeriah,its a complex of three hotels with loads of restaurants!I wasnt at the chinese there but its ment to be the best in Dubai!I was at the steak house and it was fab!Very romantic to get around the comples aswell on the abras!

Hi Debb2010,

There is a resturant in the Jumeriah beach hotel (26th floor) I think called La Parrilla.... Its Latin American and the food was absolutely fab....H2B reckons its the best steak he ever had ;o)

We ate there in September 2011 on the night we got engaged and with the view of the Burj etc it made the night ever so special!!

I would then reccomend dropping down to the sky bar (24th floor) for a chilled out cocktail bar!!

Try the revolving restaurant in the Hyatt Regancy - on the 25th floor. The food is fabulaous (buffet style so plenty of options) Think we had about 8 course all together. The cost was about 40e +wine when we went 3 years ago:

Thanks so much for all your tips - I'm keeping a list of places to look up before we go and make some reservations - I reckon all our spends will go on food!!

SH1982NYE - we've got a reservation for Sunday night at the cocktail bar in the Burj - I'm more excited about seeing that than anything else at the moment!!

Hi debb
the Italian in the westin hotel is amazing. Not the pizza restaurant. I had lobster pasta h2b had rack of lamb. delic. sit outside.

Budda bar in your hotel. expensive but great atmosphere and sum cocktails at the bar.
We found restaurants in the hotels were much better than off the street or in the markets areas. better service too.

Afternoon tea in the hotel beside jemera. the famous 6 star hotel. is worth the money. 8o euro each but brilliant experience.

Thanks Sazzabride, I'm adding your suggestions to the list! We're definitely going to try the Buddha Bar for drinks anyway and we've a reservation for the cocktail bar in the Burj for drinks so we'll get to have a wee nosy there at least.
