Shannon Oaks Hotel, Portumna

Hi I was wondering does anyone have any feedback on the Shannon Oaks Hotel, Portumna. I am considering it as a possible venue but don't know anyone that has been there for a wedding.

I was at a friends wedding there a month ago and it was fabulous!. Load's food and the food was lovely, really nice place for a wedding.

I was at a wedding there 3 weeks ago & it was nice. Some thought the food only ok - those of us who had beef thought it was dry but the others were happy with the other meal choice. That's about the worst I could say about it. The tables were nice & the staff attentive. The leisure centre was brill the next morning to clear the head! Of all the hotels in that area that is definitely the best of them & best equipped.

I have a B&B in Portumna and meet wedding guests from the Shannon Oaks every weekend! The feedback is always really good, food great and really late bar.

Hi,
I'm getting married on 30th July and our wedding is in the Shannon Oaks. I have no complaints so far. It is a lovely venue. There is the Portumna Castle and grounds for photographs which is great. I've been to a few weddings there and thats what made me pick it. Would love to hear from more too...........

I'm getting married there too, I think it has lovely surroundings with the drive and log cabins, and the ballroom is a lovely size. I've seen it done up and it looks georgeous. You can also play around with the seating arrangements in it, beacause of the shape. Go for it!

we are the second closest to hotel so very handy. The closest is oak lodge number 090 9741549.

Think hotel also have list to give you more numbers.

Lots of brides call in to check out rooms so feel free to do so if you are up at the hotel!

We are having our wedding in Shannon Oaks in May next. No complaints so far, hotel are very helpful with any queries we have. Have been to a few weddings there todate and I cannot fault it at all. The setting is lovely and the log cabin beside are brilliant, for accommodation.
