Church Flowers question

Hi to any florists out there.
Im just thinking about my church flowers, I wasn't going to have many due to budget but then when trawling through the internet I found some lovely pictures of side alter arrangements made from baby's breath flowers. Are these fairly cheap flowers? I know that they are often used as filler flowers.
I would love two GIANT arrangements made from baby's breath..... can it be done? Also do you florists think it would be cheaper than your average side alter arrangement?? :o)ll

Gypsophila/baby's breath isn't a terribly cheap option, it usually is about €2 a stem and needs a lot of fussing to get a good shape out of it. If you're DIYing it might be an option as you can buy a big wrap of it and your time doesn't cost you anything, but it's not as easy as it looks!

I made this gyp bouquet last year, there are about a dozen stems in it and it took much longer to make than a mixed bouquet, to tease it into a ball. Very pretty and long lasting but makes you want to pull your hair out for all the fussing!

Yes, I totally agree with bloomsday. Its very pretty but very time consuming which is where the real cost comes in. lovely Bouquet Bloomsday, God bless you patience.

Hi there,

Yes it usually is the work, construction and delivery that usually brings up the cost. For large arrangments of babies breath it would not have to be as structured as a bouquet. For something like this it would cost approximately €60.
