Anyone else finding a slowdown in the Postal System. I'm waiting on books from Amazon and CDs from CDWOW. I've been notified that they have been dispatched two weeks ago and still no sign. Would be very wary at this stage of ordering anything else to come by post for Christmas. What do you think?

Don't want to worry you but is there any possibility they've gone missing (stolen even)? I ordered DVDs from amazon.com (US site not UK) and received the goods within 1 week of them shipping at the beginning of November.

I don't know about Amazon, but I stopped using CD Wow last year when CDs and DVDs I had ordered in early November still hadn't delivered in time for Christmas and I had to give them to the people in the New Year.

I tried them again this year for the first time about three weeks ago. I got an email two weeks ago to say it had been despatched and I still haven't received it. Not impressed!

Saying that, I do think the post is very slow at the moment too, so it could be a combination of both.

I order a lot of stuff from CD Wow & they are normally excellent - only 1 of 7 cd's didn't arrive in the past 3 weeks & they are sending me a replacement, no questions asked.

Also ordered goods from Amazon last week & they haven't shown up yet

I used CDWoW all the time and never had any problems with them. Normally when you pre-order stuff with them you get it in the door a day or two after the issue date. My daughter is going mental waiting on her Westlife CD. My H2B ordered DVDs from Send it last week as well and they haven't arrived either, maybe its our postman!

Seems very odd for three different companies all to be having a delay :?

Have any of you ever tried www.play.com they are based in Jersey and do CD's DVD's Books etc. much cheaper than CDWOW and they deliever FOC even to Ireland - well worth the look
