Hi

Ive booked Roganstown for the big day next sept 05. I have to say I was very impressed when I went to see it and Ive been to the health spa and restaurant since and found the staff very helpful.

I did think myself that the dance floor wasnt the biggest but its hard to judge a room when its empty and not laid out properly.

I thought it was nice that it had its own grounds and was very quite. Its like being down the country but its only outside swords!

good luck with your plans :o

Hi there,

I had my wedding there on 15th October just gone. I cannot say enough nice things about the venue and the staff. I'm about to post my brides diary about my wedding so keep an eye out for that.

About a month before the wedding I went COMPLETELY bridezilla on both the manager and the wedding coordinator. It was in connection with the sleeping arrangements for our son. Looking back on the situation, I can't believe how ballistic I went on them but they both coped brilliantly. If they can cope with me going absolutely mental on them, they can cope with anything!

The venue is smashing and the fact that the hotel hasn't had many functions or weddings shouldn't dissuade you. It has that novelty factor that not many people will have been there so they don't know what to expect. It's an old style hotel in appearance with many modern features.

The bar downstairs is very cosy for your drinks reception.

There was plenty of space at the tables for my guests so they weren't sitting on top of one another and no elbows banging when cutting their food. The food was delicious and plentiful.

The dance floor was perfect as not every one was up dancing at the same time. There is a bar inside the function room which helps with the legislation about children in pubs after 9pm. As you are having a private function, the legislation doesn't apply. However, Lynda did remind us that if any of the kids at our wedding wanted to walk around the hotel to unwind at the end of the night, they couldn't be brought into the downstairs lounge bar.

The grounds of the hotel allowed for some beautiful photographs to be taken.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me by private message.
