I sent them 8 weeks before but for overseas I sent them 10 weeks.... the way time is flying by I think the more notice you give the better for people to make arrangements - especially if they are travelling or need to organise babysitters etc.

Oooooh such an exciting time.... I was like a puppy waiting for the postman each day for replies!!! :lol:

Make sure you put the rsvp date at least a week before you actually need to know the numbers.

We calculated when we would need the numbers for (to give to the hotel and to organise favours etc) and then we put the rsvp date 2 weeks before that date and people are still sending back their rsvp's late.

Although there has been a marked increase in rsvp returns since I mentioned that if we didn't receive an rsvp then we were assuming that person wasn't coming and therefore we weren't organising a meal for that person.

I ordered mine on Tuesday so as soon as I get them back I'll start writing them - or actually get my Mum to write them coz my scrawl is so bad.

Actually :shock: I have to make my list up - after months of nagging everyone else for theirs I haven't compiled one yet :!: Oh god this is where the fun starts.

My Mum, mil2b and h2b have seriously extensive lists so a little bit of chopping will have to be done - please god let 15% at least decline so I can send more invites and don't end up insulting too many!

We are getting married 7 seven weeks from tomorrow and I am posting mine tomorrow so exactly 7 weeks !

thanks for replying....I'll send mine next week.. that will be 9 weeks..they all know that there going...I'm just hoping like yee a few strangers that are invited can't go..I want the people who are going to the afters to know its the afters and not the full day..

We are sending ours 4 weeks tomorrow :shock: my god how the time has flown.

That gives us a full 8 weeks - with RSVP's due back by 13th August (4 weeks before the wedding)

We're getting married on the 20th Aug and we posted the invites last weekend, getting RSVP's in already.. its starting to get exciting now! Only 65 days to go :lol:

I'm sending them 6 weeks before the wedding - that gives me less than a week to get them ready. Was worried that if I sent them sooner people would lose them etc.
