Help with choice of dish.....

Hi all
Am trying to decide on menu, for the main course I want to have a choice of beef and fish, problem is I'm not a fish fan and am trying to decide to have salmon or cod, salmon is so common thought cod might be nice, any opinions welcome :wink:

I hate fish too, and agree that salmon is a common choice, but thats not necesarily a bad thing.
I would choose salmon as vegaterian wouldn't eat the Cod in bacon.

cod wrapped in bacon.never heard of that but intrigued as salmon is so common.curious about veggies having salmon as any veggies I know are 100% veggie...no fish or meat at all!

i'd choose the salmon..i dont know why it's considered common, but there ya go! the idea of bacon around cod dosen't appeal to me at all!

cod would be much more common than salmon IMO! I'd opt for the salmon.

Thanks for relpys girls its all tied up at 50:50!! There will be a seperate veggie option by the way, I certainly can't mess up on that as my CBM is strictly veggie (not even fish or eggs!) Although she would prefer the potatoes and veg as normal with a portion of the veggie dish rather than a pasta dish or something (not explaining that very well)

I know what you mean by salmon being a popular choice at weddings, but I just think Cod is v.boring, so would defo go with the salmon.

Would go with salmon. Nicer taste I think anyway... plus hate bacon unless its very specific type. With the cod and bacon you are doubling the chance of people liking only one or the other.

I had cod and the whole day was so boring we all fell asleep into our plates :wink:

It's all a matter of choice, I just went for cod becuase I prefer it and actually don't like salmon but my cod wasn't wrapped in bacon - pity then people might not have been so bored :wink:
