I know as a guest I love it that way as you get to see the bride walking in and then look up to the groom to see his face when he sees her ..... aaahhhhh so romantic!!!!!

actually - that's a really good point...because you want to see his reaction when he sees her for the first time, but you also want to watch her as she's starting her walk down the aisle....you'd need eyes at the back of your head!! :D

Bride2Be - I hope H2B looks at me! I don't care much for superstitions on this one really. I just want to see his face too - I think the thing is to walk slowly!

H2B is off on his stag this weekend too and I would love to be doing what your doing in Brooklodge but I'm being taken into town by the girls for champagne cocktails so who can refuse?!!!

I never thought about this one before and h2b is sitting beside me so i asked what he is going to do - the ans i got was a very indignant "of course Im going to f*cking look, why would i do any different" so i said it was tradition and i was told that "that tradition can just f*ck right off - f*cks sake stupid traditions" so Im not sure but I have a feeling hes going to f*cking look !! The f*cker

My hubby looked and I am so glad he did. I was starting to get nervous as I started my walk (walking up the aisle was the one thing I was dreading). However, when I saw him looking at me all my fears flew away and we were the only two people in the world. I held his stare for most of the walk and it was fab. It is one of my best memories of the day.

Good luck with whichever you decide, you will so happy anyway.

Yep - he'll be looking cos weve already agreed it as Ill be walking up the aisle alone (long story) so depending on how nervous I am he may walk halfway to meet me.

Besides ever since I saw photos of Jessica Simpsons wedding in a mag, especially the look on Nicks face as she walked up the aisle - Ive wanted the photographer to get a photo of H2B's reaction

Twotimes06 that sounds really nice :)

I put a comment here earlier saying I'd hope h2b would look then asked him afterwards to see his reaction and he said he would be looking straight ahead but aparently I looked so crestfallen he's changed his mind and is gonna turnaround :D[/quote]

We never discussed it, but he did look. Everyone comented on the look on his face, all proud with tears in his eyes. I think it would have been weird to walk up looking at the back of his head! It would feel like he wasn't intrested or something!

I asked H2B this last night and he said he hadn't thought about it but now that I had asked him he would be watching me come up the aisle. To be honest I think that will keep me calmer than if he were to look ahead !
