That's so annoying about the football. Men are terrible do they not realise how much time and effort goes into planning a wedding and that they'll only get to do it once! I've already been told that my oh will be watching the football the day we get back from honeymoon which isn't as bad but still. I couldn't care less about football especially when there are more important things going on >:o(

I am just blessed that euro 2012 starts a few days after we get back from honeymoon. No doubt in my mind if it was on during OH would be watching it all day. Spent two weeks in Ibiza a few years ago watching 3 matches a day for the world cup!

There's literally nothing can be done about the matches though girls so just have to suck it up! My first dance will be in the middle of the Champions League final...have visions of me dancing around on my own hubbie nowhere to be seen with just my grandparents watching :duh:

I'm with you Bootleg Betty. We marry on May 19th and that means we have the Champions league final, the Heineken Cup final and Amir Kahn is fighting some big match. Have already arranged several TV screens to be in the bar area of our reception.....if you can't beat them join them! Am hoping it will add to the atmosphere!

Girls am freaking out about amount coming to wedding is so small from other weddings iv being too, invited 171 (10 of those were plus one's for people not going out with some one, yet they arent bringing any one) so far 36 said no, 105 including me and h2b and priest, waiting for rest to reply and think it will be no's as weddings cost so much and with rescesstion, im worrying that my room in hotel will look empty, not sleeping over this, emailed hotel this morning, on the other hand our reception can be paid for with out us having to get a loan as we have enough now to pay for everything, am i freaking out for nothing :o(

Ginger Power don't freak out. Your wedding will be fab and the room will look great! There is only 80 coming to our wedding.

If you are really worried about filling space can you have less people per table? Tables are usually too squashed anyway!

Ginger don’t worry I had the same problems and have been stressing about things for the last 3 weeks. It has all come together this week and I think we are going to almost make our minimum numbers (might be 4 short but at one stage I thought we were gonna be 20 short of the minimum). Invited 185 and so far have 144 yes. Our RSVP date was last Sunday so I thought any that we hadn’t heard from by that stage would be declines but I got 10 acceptances in one day so don’t worry. Your wedding coordinator in the hotel should be able to put your mind at ease about partitioning off part of the room and putting less people at each table as BB said. Don’t worry it will be fine, I have wasted so much stressing about this in the last few weeks and I can’t control it so it was pointless!

The level of declines is really a sign of the times so don’t take it personally.

Picked up my dress yesterday, cant beleive after all the online stalking, that its now sitting in my mothers closet. Very happy with it, bar the bra peeping through on just one side.
Need to figure out, if i can move the strap, or buy a different bra tomorrow.
Had some veil issues, but ive decided to just wear my earrings and a small hair clip.

My bold stag is gone this morning, back Monday evening. Hope to god they behave themselves...
Trying to finish off ceremony leafets now today and get them printed.
Just doing an outline, rather then long winded booklets ( im lazy )

Been glued to the weather aswell... met eireen are saying drier, milder conditions for late next week. Really hoping that comes in time for Friday !!

Fizzgig try www.meteoblue.ch for weather. They have a 14 day extended forecast. I find that website quite accurate for Ireland.... Looking good for you next weekend :o)ll

Thanks bootleg betty and morning sun, im just stressing all the time, im getting fed up, now i have some one who has kids doesnt have a babysitter and decides now like that she doesnt know if her and husband can go until nearer wedding i mean like is a year and half not enough time notice, i think im being too soft to people and i need to be a bunny, O:|

emailed hotel for suggestions on how to make hotel seem full, today last day for rsvp and im getting oh to start ringing people tomorrow,

iv my make up trial tomorrow too hope it goes ok :-8

Re: the footie, i remember being at a wedding before where there was sum "important" match on at the same time and what happened there was one or 2 would go out during the breaks in the courses in the dinner and when they came back the score was passed like chinese whispers around the room so try not to stress too much....it was actually great for getting all the male guests chatting!!!
In my personal opinion if i was at a wedding with oh and he was missing half the wedding coz of a football match i wud tell him to sit down and have manners and i think most women will do the same (this is the man who doesnt want to get on flight for honeymoon coz he will miss said match O:|

On the matter of my ticker-
OH HOLY GOD!!! Iv spent so much time wishing it to be nearer now it is i want it to go away :duh:

Still havent got all our rsvps back and my fone chose this week to die and is gone off to apple to be fixed with all my numbers in it so all the people i need to chase i havnt got numbers for O:|

including the priest who didnt like my mass booklets so decided to email me one he does like, that was 2 wks ago and still hasnt sent them so i have to try get a number for him again :duh:
