On another note - for you who are having church weddings, when are you planning on booking your pre-marriage course? When are you thinking of doing it and how long before do you reckon we'd need to book? Don't want to make an eejit of myself ringing too early! On yet another note - why do suppliers etc keep saying oh you've llllloooooads of time in a real condescending way when we say our wedding is next April?? Do they expect everyone to leave everything to the last minute??

I'm starting to fear looking at this thread... I'm so lackadaisical about the wedding planning and am convinced it'll come together!
Right! June is my month for being productive! Also Daisy Row thanks so much for dropping in, I saw your pics on another thread, you looked so radiant and beautiful! Congrats!

Hello everyone! Just watching the eurovision semi real and rooting for Jedward...someone lock me up!! MrsDuffy2be - you are quite the bargain hunter - much impressed!! Redgp fair play, are you using the gettingmarried.ie templates? I started to look at them, got bogged down and put them back on the long finger! But I do intend to get back to them, everyone who leaves them to the last minute seems to regret it! EleanorRigby I hear ya -I was being very proactive but I just seem to have let it slip of late and with a busy summer ahead I know the time will fly so I'm trying to get back on the ball too! Won't be long before my ticker says nine months, which gives me about 7 months to get all my DIY stuff done (don't want the stress of it after that). Sounds like a lot of time but I'm doing some serious procrastinating....for well over 7 months now! Oops, how did that happen! Starting to think about the honeymoon, just shooting the breeze on where we fancy really. Any of ye thought about that yet? Don't expect to be able to get prices until around now, I think the agents at the wedding fair said 11 months ahead is the soonest they'd give prices?? Any ideas ladies?! The world seems an awful big place now that its the 'dream holiday'

So much pressure to get the honeymoon right...for us anyway will be the last 'big travel' for a while and there's so many places left on the list!! To make it harder H2B and myself did our travelling separately (long story!) so we both have different places on our lists too!! It's funny though cos in our relationship himself is usually the one that organises everything and I just follow along happily! The wedding is the first big thing I think I've ever been put in charge of so OH doesn't know what to be doing with himself! He was in charge of car (already booked) and honeymoon (of which he has about six highly planned, highly detailed alternatives!). He's really running with it! Current top of the list is Malaysia (bit of beach time, bit of activity so perfect!) with an option to visit Cambodia (which he hasn't seen). Having said that, a colour-co-ordinated excel spreadsheet arrives in my inbox most days so God knows how the paln will have changed by the time we actually book

ARGH!!! I've spent most of today on youtube trying to find the 'perfect' first dance song! We don't have a song that's 'our song' so this is kinda tricky! We've also got very different tastes in music and as a result have had one or two cross words today regarding the first dance!! What are you all dancing to? I'm very interested to see what songs are popular for April 2013 brides!! ;)
