They're the caterers they had in Dublin castle when the Queen was here so they can't be too bad !!!

We've narrowed it down to a few locations. We're have a 4pm ceremony so people can have their lunch beforehand venue from 6pm - cocktail recxeption style with drinks and substantial canapes.

1: RDS - Minerva Suite
2: Thomas Prior Hall, Ballsbridge
3: The Morrison Hotel
4: The Clarence Hotel
5: The Conrad Hotel
6: Blackhall Place

Anyone any experience or thoughts on these?

we had a 3pm ceremony which was delayed 10 mins as I was late- then did drinks reception and then dinner at 530pm- worked a treat!

I wouldn't bother with canapes!

Thanks Jboyle - good to hear someone else who had the same timelines :)

We're not having a dinner at all - we're trying to have more of a relaxed party atmosphere so there'll be food on arrival and then evening food also.

An example from the Clarnce will be something like
On arrival:
Mini potatoes stuffed with Mediterranean vegetables
Goujon of sole and French fries served in a paper wrapper
Five spice beef with chilli dip on a skewer
Irish smoked salmon with horseradish
Assorted italian pizza

Evening Food:
Selection of European and Irish Cheese and cured meat selection, Pickled vegetables, fresh fruits and artisan breads
Roasted cocktail sausages with Thick cut chips
Selection of sandwiches

I'd second the lucan spa, claire is the nicest co-ordinator i've been in touch with and seems extremely eager to do all she can for you
