Kitchenaid or Kenwood chef

Kitchenaid or Kenwood chef

Postby Kkilkenny » Wed Aug 10, 2022 12:50 pm

Am thinking of buying one of these, do a bit of baking but also want to use it for making bread.

Was thinking of getting either a kitchenaid artisan or k50 (the more commercial version) or a kenwood chef titanium.

Love the look of the kitchenaid but after a look online have worries that it might not knead bread dough properly and could break.

Has anyone used both of these machines and could you give me advice on which is the best.

I love my Kitchen Aid and use it to make bread without any difficulties about 3 times a week (as well as for a load of other baking). It handles the kneading of a 500g loaf without any problems, it's 5 years old now but no different to the day it came out of the box. My granny's machine was purchased in the mid-1960s (my dad and his sister had to order it into the country especially) and is still working. So far it's outlived granny by 23 years. I already had a blender and a Magimix food processor so didn't need the additional flexibility of the Kenwood plus the look of the Artisan cannot be beat.

I have the K50 and I use it all the time for cakes and bread and pizza dough. I've no problems with it, I've it two years now. I went with the K50 because I make a lot of cakes and was only slightly more expensive than the artisan plus you get two bowls with it as well . Enjoy your baking :-)

Bride of Recession I had two Kitchenaids a professional one and my red artisan. I sold the pro one on here a few years ago. Why are you asking about this?
