Help - Menu Choice

Help - Menu Choice

Postby noddins » Mon Jan 24, 2022 8:22 pm

Hi all,

We're currently trying to decide on the options for the main course. We would like to give a choice to the guests and we had settled on Turkey and Ham or Salmon.
When I mentioned this to my family my sis said she'd prefer beef, and Mam said she didn't think Turkey and Ham was "special enough"
Now I know it's our day and we should pick what we like, but I also want to make sure I'm suiting the majority and no-one will go hungry.
The hotel has a great reputation and I'm sure everything will be fantastic............
Advice please

I suppose people would probably go for turkey and ham.If you want that go for it.No matter what dish you pick someone is going to say something.
I personally think turkey and ham is abit common its served at every wedding nearly and id like something a bit different. We arent meeting with the hotel until march about the menus so i could change my mind-

Its up to you at the end of the day!Anything will be enjoyed

Hey,

If I was choosing between salmon and Turkey and ham, I would go with Turkey and ham..Fish is a dodgy one.. now it also depends on the family.. my family would not eat fish, so if your family would eat fish then its a great choice!!

I alsways think Beef is a winner for weddings, and a lovely choice because its not a particularly strong fish. Check with the hotel which way they serve the T&H - most hotels I've seen it in , it comes in processed - slice of ham, slice of turkey and stuffing in between - think that way its a bit school dinnery

We'd the same choice to make and in the end opted for the salmon/turkey & ham option. Reason we did is cos people can be funny about beef with all the scares there's been so we thought it'd be the safer option. Hope we chose right....bit worried now with the school dinner comment cos I know what you mean Mrs05! Of course, you can't please everyone.......I was told (by my mother)that I should order beef for a particular relative who only eats this - nothing else (yeah right). I mean I ask you - talk about creating problems for us :x
