I would like to have something really special/different for my guests when they arrive in the hotel. Any suggestions, I'm getting married in July?

in July strawberrys and cream can be gorgeous - especially with champers or sparkly wine!
you could do fruit dipped in chocolate on trays but it might get a bit messy.

I really want to have fruit with a chocolate fountain, but H2B thinks it'll be messy. Anyone had one before or been to a wedding with one? Just think it'll be lovely outside (weather permitting) with a champagne reception and a string quartet.....

Unsure what to do. Might have canapes, might do strawberries on the champagne glasses (thinking bucks fizz & black velvet as welcome drinks). Loved the idea of the choc fondue fountain but it's €800 for my area and I can't see people wanting to eat loads of chocolate before they sit down to a 4 course dinner.

Our hotel does a mirror of mini cakes & biscuits with the tea & coffee on arrival anyway.

The Chocolate Fondue is just to die for. We are having it at the Summerhill house Hotel. We saw it at the RDS Wedding Fair with a hire company working out at over €1000 for the day, and then we came to the Summerhill house stand and they have one and are only charging €300 for it.

We were at the wedding fair in the summerhill last week and they had the fondue flowing my htb had a hard time dragging me away.

We did the strawberries and cream thing and they went down a treat - especially with us as the first thing we did was to drop some into our champagne - yummy! Lots of the guests ate them and the bikkies and mini cakesthe hotel supplied

Chocolate Fountain

Postby Pammy » Mon Feb 21, 2022 1:22 pm

Hi everyone, ive seen the chocolate fountains at wedding fairs and cant wait to have one at my reception. I want it for when the guests arrive to entertain them while we get our photos done. That way they wont be waiting around for hours hungry and we wont have to worry about keeping them waiting while we get our photos doen either!

We got ours from a new place near Belfast.... www.thechocolateer.co.uk

My friend actually used them and they come highly recommended. Cant wait to give my guests something to talk about.
