Eeeeew I think it's naaasty!!! I imagine it would feel really unhygenic? Not to mention the fact that it's not exactly a good look for a woman imo

I really want to support a woman's right not to shave, because if you look at it objectively it's ludicrous that people should feel under pressure to remove all their body hair. But personally I just don't like the look at all.

That is just disgusting! It just looks wrong. All the bacteria that harbour in there yeuch! Each to their own, but certainly won't be a choice I'll be making ;o)

A bit of underarm regrowth stubble is OK, but full length, plait me if you will, underarm hair, yeuch. It's not so bad on the legs, don't know why, but underarm, it's like, hair & sweat :duh:

Roll-on deo on hairy armpits....Bucket please :eek

Actually armpit and pubic hair have a hygiene function. They wick sweat away from the skin to avoid the build up of bacteria. We evolved to have hair there for a reason and its simply western society that has developed this idea that hair (which is natural) is something to be disgusted by.

To be honest, I don't care either way if another woman shaves their armpits or not. It's not dirty to have armpit hair and chances are if you're going to be sweaty, you'll be sweaty and if you don't shower, you will smell... regardless of whether you have armpit hair or not.

I think it looks gross! She was banging on about not conforming to social convention and not needing her looks for confidence, but she looks like she plucks her eyebrows, is wearing make up and has her hair done, all appearance modifying!!

+1. The girl makes an excellent point but it's been so indoctrinated in my head that it's something disgusting that I can't look at it without thinking YUK. What a shame. Fair play to her I reckon. Having armpit hair isn't any less hygienic than having none, it all depends on your own level of personal hygiene. The pubic hair thing does bother me too, hearing about young teens getting Brazilians etc really annoys me, what sort of message is that sending to young women about their appearance?? And don't even get me started on anal bleaching and labiaplasty... grrrrr. >:o(

I can be lax with the leg hair but never the armpits. I don't think it equals being unhygienic though.
