Was going to give the SMEP a go this month but then we decided to wait until closer to my ovulation as I've got a smiley face three months in a row on cd15 -wouldn't you know it no flipping smiley on Cd15 or cd16 this month , so long story short we DTD CD 13,14,15, still no smiley but I do think I ovulated as morning of the Cd14 I had stretchy CM wasn't egg white though it was clear - tired and peed off this evening should we skip tonight Cd16 and Dtd Cd17 /18 - this TTC driving me nuts and I'm only starting out - much respect to all long time TTCers :babydust:

I'd give it a rest tonight, semen lasts upto 4/5 days so you should be ok for a break tonight, just do it again tomorrow and the following night. I think the SMEP says take a break after couple of days dtd (if i remember).

Just from monitoring CM, it sounds like you ov'd in or around day 14 and you also DTD on day 15 so you're probably well covered....take a break tonight and DTD again tom night.

thanks for the replies we ended up giving it another go last night , we'll skip tonight unless i get my much sought after smiley face today - and then we're on the long 2ww

+ 1 on this advice, you don't want to be DTD too often as the quality of the sperm will decrease. SMEP says every second night and 3 nights in a row around OV so I reckon you are well covered. You probably OV CD14 from your description of CM :babydust:

This is probably a silly question so sorry for the TMI

in advance.
I just noticed your post where you said the EWCM was clear. I always thought the EWCM was supposed to be clear.. as in like raw egg whites or is it actually supposed to be white?
I think I may have been looking for the wrong thing all along O:|

When you describe your CM you say you don't think it was EWCM as it was clear. EWCM is clear, as in resembling the white of a raw egg.
So sounds like you ovulated after CD14.

I read this yesterday and immediately thought I'd been looking out for the wrong CM and DTD at wrong time. Had a look online and EWCM definitely clear and stretchy, like the white of a raw egg.

is say your covered seabride, im in same boat, we dtd 12,14,16 skipped last three nights and now are planning tonight/fri/sat/sun-due to ov sat/sun i thk! Fingers crossed for us all, im only on my 3rd cycle already im losing the cool!!

sorry about the confusion describing my CM it would have been easier to say it was different this month - anyway we dtd cd13,14,15,16 argument skipped 17 and then got my smiley face today ?????? so going to give two more goes but now worried that i may have a short luteal phase as im normally 28/29 cycle and that would mean i have less than 10 dpo - god girls anyone have a magic wand for stress - :duh:
