Beauty Tips

Re: Beauty Tips

Postby makeupaddict » Sat Feb 19, 2022 2:02 pm

1. Drink water. It will flush out all the toxins in the body and make your skin glow!

2. Let your moisturiser sink in for at least 5 mins to stop your make up sliding off your face.

3. Exfoliate on a weekly basis. Getting rid of the dead skin will again help any bride have radiant skin.

4. Blotting is the key to helping lipstick last. Along with using liner first!

5. Don't pick spots. Dab some tea tree oil on it & it will be gone within 2 days. And if you do have to pick, be gentle. Concealer will cover redness but not scabs!

6. Once a week try and leave your conditioner soak in to your hair for at least 30 mins.

Hope some of these help!

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask is amazing for tightening pores and clearing up oily skin. Its only €4.50 for a small tube of it but as you only need a tiny amount it last ages. Cannot praise it highly enough - even my OH has noticed the difference in my skin!!!

Top tip - my wonder product:

Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil (recently listed in Bazaar top 100 products)

This baby has transformed my skin!! Only a tiny few drops are needed before moisturiser every morning and evening - it's like a drink for your skin! My skin has become plumped and really healthy looking - it got rid of my milia (tiny white bumps under skin that are raised like spots but not actually spots) and everyone has been saying I look glowing this days!! Word of warning - once you try this, you'll never go back! I ran out and didnt get around to replacing for two weeks - the difference in my skin was unreal!! I'm an official devotee now!

Also - another top tip is switch from normal foundation to mineral - my fave is 'Glo Minerals' - pricey but SOO worth it!! My skin has come on in leaps and bounds since I switched!

Thanks a mil Ravellobride!
I'm starting to worry about my own skin now before the wedding, I'm getting breakouts here and there.
Where can I get this, do health food shops do it?
Also, how long were you taking it before you noticed a difference? :thnk

Hi Skitchums,

No worries!! Yes - you get it in any health food store - it costs around €25 euro for a small bottle.

The thing to remember is that you really only need a TEENY TINY amount - put on too much and your skin will be too oily. I actually had oily skin before using this and it has magically rectified the problem - I don't know how!

I noticed a difference after about 1-2weeks. TBH - it's pretty instantaneous - you're applying nutrients direct to your skin and it soaks them up!!

Highly recommend!! Good luck skitchums -you will be a radiant bride!

Good luck leelo! You're right to start early!!

I started the facials about 2/3 months before and found they have defo improved my skin! I started working out and using nice products on face about a year before - I think the mixture of exercise, healthy eating and good prods all combined to help make skin better - I think it's all or nothing to get that lovely glow!!!

Let us know how you get on :thnk

ah thanks. i live pretty healthy i eat well, drink loadsof water, run and go to the gym but my budget for skin products and facials is quite low so I'll try my best to do diy treatments for the meantime.

i called a beauty therapist and they said four months before for facials. so i'll start saving now lol :ooh
