Hi Gaff, I find the personal training great. I did it last year too. I go to a girl who has her own gym and you are the only person in there at a time. The first session is all about food, measurements etc. she gives you lots of info on a low carb diet that's really easy to follow and I need to keep a food diary for her too which she goes through all week. She is very much of the opinion that losing weight is mainly down to food and the exercise is to tone up and get fit.

The session starts with a warm up on the treadmill and then it's like circuit training using various weights, doing squats, lunges, press ups etc. it's brilliant for toning. You get weighed each week too.

A friend of mine went to just a few sessions last year to learn what she needs to do for toning up after a pregnancy so you can do just a few sessions and do it ourself after.

Hi Girls,

Delighted someone started up this thread, I had been following the Christmas weight loss thread and the weekly weigh in's were a real motivation.

I reached my 2 stone goal a few weeks before Christmas and took a break (and when I say took a break, I really mean it :eek ) I had got myself down to 10 stone and the plan was to enjoy Christmas and start again on New Years Day!

I was horrified when I stood on the scales on New Years Day- I had put on 11lbs in about a month. So ladies, don't forget how easy it is to put it back on. I think that's all d motivation I need!!!

Thankfully, I think my weight in on New Years Day was complete bloating as I had my first weigh in yesterday and I was down 5lbs without very little effort- I just stopped eating d junk!!

So Here it is:

Starting Weight: 10st 11lbs
Goal Weight: 9st 7lbs
Goal Loss: 18lbs
Loss to Date: 5lbs
Current Weight: 10st 6lbs
Still to lose: 13lbs

So we've 10 weeks to go girls, lets make a good start and we'll all be so much happier come easter!! Best of luck girls xxx

No prob gaff, this is the way i do it, its easy ad quick. Thers probably a proper way to cook it but mine hasnt failed yet. So ...
Get the instant noodles, green beans, mange tout and throw them into some hot vegtable stock. Leave until veg is al dente and oodles are cooked but ot mushy!! Put in a tablespoon of thai green curry paste, stir and if u want u can add a small chopped chilli for heat. Then add in about half a can of low fat cocout milk and serve! Thats it, its so easy.. u can add cooked chicken or prawns if you want but i prefer the veg, it really is fool proof!

Chick that sounds lovely. Must try it out.

So far so good for me. Went for my first run of the new year today (due to major cold all week) and it felt great. I've gone back to the c25k programme and started on week 2. I've also settled into a nice routine food wise helped by the fact h2b is on a really strict diet so I don't have to worry about what to cook for him.

Hope everyone else is doing good too.

I'm gonna jump on board too! I've put on at least 5pounds since I ordered my wedding dress and I dread the idea of going for a wedding dress fitting and the dress not closing up the back!! So the plan is to drop the 5 pounds in the next month or so, hopefully followed by another few if possible! I've had a pretty good week so far food wise but exercise has been a bit of an issue. I'm gonna head to a zumba class some day this week for the first time! Gonna be interesting seeing that I've got two left feet.. but I bet it'll be a bit of fun at least! :o0 Wish me luck! :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Hi all,

Hope you are all getting on well. I'd a good week with no major hiccups and weighed in this morning at 4.4lbs lighter than last Tuesday - yippee. So my stats now are:

Starting weight: 11st 5.2lbs
Currently: 11st 0.8 lbs

Target now for next week is to get below the 11 stone and hopefully lose 2lbs. Hope everybody else is doing well.

Well done Belcra. That's a great start.

I've done pretty good. Only got two runs in though due to being sick and having a removal tonight. Food wise I'm doing good. Having my puerrh tea and 2 weetabix with oat bran and warm milk in the morning. Then 10am is a banana and yoghurt. Lunch is my carbs so either pasta salad, beans on toast, (although yesterday was an omelette with veg) then in the evening in just having chicken/salmon with loads of veg or a ww meal if im busy. Drinking loads of water/soarkling and tea.

Went a bed mad yesterday in my parents house cos I was sitting doing nothing for two hours. And had some plum pudding and sweets. But I think I had been good enough during the week to accommodate it.

Weigh in tomorrow and please god it's a food number I'm hoping for 3.

How is everyone else?

Awe Gaff - how frustrating! Well hopefully the next week will go better for you!

I've slowed down a little the last few days. It fell off me initially but now have to work at it. That was always going to happen but need to be careful now. Just back from a 1 hour walk with a friend and if anything ate too little today but wasn't that hungry. Just had a banana for breakfast and was at an early breakfast meeting and avoided the scones. Didn't bother having porridge then and just had soup and ryvita at lunch and was on my own at home tonight so just had a chicken breast and beans for dinner. Was too lazy to bother cooking properly.

I'm getting used to the exercise in the evening and enjoying it so that's really helping. Hope the weather stays decent!!

Aw gaff that's crap. But maybe it's just what you need it will help you keep focused and realise that you can't get away with that extra handful of wedges or whatever.

We were at a removal tonight and I didn't get a chance to have my dinner. My bro said lets stop on the way home and I was starving so agreed. Was only get a chicken wrap in supermacs (thinking best of a bad bunch) but a chicken burger meal was nearly as cheap so I went with that O:| .

Weighed myself in my parents scale and I haven't lost a pound. So annoyed but I'll wait until tomorrow at ww to see for sure. I'm thinking of changing to slimming world loads of people are swearing by it now.

Good Morning Ladies,
So I have been following your posts for the past week, and the reason I am posting is that I am going to join you.

I want a new handbag and it costs lots of money. I also have half a wardrobe that are too snug...so I have set easter as the deadline
So I started last wed (trying to eat healthy) ie cutting out crap, Weighed 12stone 4.

Then Monday I decided I would start properly.

So using myfitnesspal.com on iphone to track calories consumed.

limit 1200 per day

Monday: 1200 good and 20 mins on elliptical trainer ( I hate exercise)
Tue: 1200 good and 25 mins (during eastenders on Tue - pooped after it but felt good)
Wed: 1300 calories (not great) and night off
Thur: hoping to keep going.....

Weighed myself this morning and 12stone even. :yelrotflmaosmilie:

Want to get to 10, 10 for Easter, If I could get to 10 I0 would be happy but 10 5would be ideal, I'm 5 8 so less than 10 and a half I look terrible.... shook... I'm told.

Planning to start 30 day shred again on Sat, I always get to day 7/8 and then pack it in.. so think i might only do a few days of level 1 then go to level 2 and alternate with the elliptical machine ( I bought it last year for 500 euro and only used it about 6 times... terrible I know)

will be posting at least once a week to keep morale up and more if I need it.

so heres to 21lbs... if I lose it I'm allowing myself to get my Mulberry
