IUI 2012 Thread

Usually have my first scan on day 8 although this time they had no appointments free on day 8 so it had to be day 9. Didnt make any difference for me so early on.

Thanks girls, I rang the clinic today to make the apt so they said to come back day 9 which is Sunday. At least I don't have to come up with at excuse for being late to work yet. What have you's told them?

When we first started I didn't tell work anything. Had lots of early morning blood tests and dentist appointments, even slept it out one morning!! But I needed a week off work in Septmeber when I had my lap & dye and just decided to bite the bullet and telll my boss what I was having done and a very loose story about us trying for number two for over a year and nothing happening. She was really supportive and after the lap I told her that I was starting fertility treatment as a result of what they had found. Wasn't entirely true but at least she knows now so no more excuses. We don't talk about it but I just say I have an appointment and might be a bit late in and she just says fine.
Was a massive relief to have finally said it and not have to lie.

Thats great that your boss is so supportive and understanding mrsjonnycastle. I couldn't imagine telling mine. He's a nice guy but just wouldn't trust him to keep it to himself if his manager was asking questions etc I guess i'll just have to come up with some inventive excuses if needed :o0

Girls, I did a really silly thing and tested today at 10dpiui. BFN of course. Knew it would be. Besides the fact that it's very early to test, I know I'm not pregnant. Just have a feeling. Bit down about it to be honest as we'll have to move to icsi now, but just have to keep on going. Will wait till OTD on Tues to test again, but not holding out any hope. Sorry for the negativity. Hope the rest of you are having more luck :babydust:

I am on cd 32 today and started to think to myself... hmmmm.
then af showed tonight, so cd1 tomorrow.. ah well! getting really fed up of waiting to start iui after the summer. painful

Sorry to hear of the bfn Reine, fingers crossed Tue brings a different result.

Hugs to you Lablady, it's so hard when AF arrives, and it's even harded when it's late and you've got your hopes up. Hope you're ok.

AFM, I had a scan (cd9) this morning, have one leading folicle at 14mm and two smaller ones around 8.5mm. Nurse said my lining was a bit thin but that there is still time for it to thicken up. Am back tuesday morning for another scan. Would love if one of the smaller follicles caught up so that it would increase my chances of a bfp.

How's everyone else doing? At least the sun is shining today :o)ll

Good morning ladies,
Well unfortunately it was a BFN for us over the weekend. Couldn't face testing on Friday before work and was meeting friends for dinner on Friday night so decided to hold off unitl Saturday to test and was glad I did because it hit us both like a tonne of bricks.
I still don't know if I'm coming or going. I was a wreck all weekend but trying to be positive today, new week, sun shining and all that!

Have appointment made with sims for next Wed to move on to ivf.

I really hope things work out for everyo0ne else and as negative as I may have sounded about iui this time round I am proof that it DOES work as I have my beautiful daughter keeping me going all weekend.

So so sorry Mrsjonneycastle,

Well we are attempting IUI for the second time, it was cancelled first month, I am on CD5 I'm on Menopur since CD2, have first scan on CD7.

Buttons re lining are you on aspirin, I had issues with lining and but with aspirin last month it was very much improved!

Mrs jc, so sorry to hear you're out. This is such a difficult road.

I'm out too. Started spotting this evening, so af will be here tomorrow.

Hi girls had my CD7 scan yesterday and I again have only one lead follicle on my right side 13mm 2nd follicles is 8mm on the right also, she said my lining was very good but told me to prepare for this IUI cycle to be changed to TSI again.
Can any one remember roughly what sizes yer follies were on CD8? Also do have your meds ever been upper mid cycle while doing IUI?

Very quiet on here at mo! I have been cancelled for the second time! I only have one follicle @14mm today so they will change this cycle to TSI. They will up meds next month! Can I ask what levels are ye all on! I think I am on Menopur 75mg (I think)

Hi girls, the thread has gone very quite. Sorry haven't been on in while, had a lot of family stuff to deal with. My dad past away quite suddenly last week (after been sick for years). I'm doing ok but it has been a sad time for family. In the middle of it all I had a scan of cd11, trigger cd12 and iui cd14. Did comtemplate changing to TSI due to the stress of everything but wanted to keep going after getting this far. Had 1 juicy follicle 19mm on cd11 and lining was good so fingers crossed we get a positive outcome. Could do with some good luck.

Mrs2babride soon - how come they changed your cycle to tsi so early?

Who is online
