Electric Avenue or Soul Purpose?

Hi Wollies! Just wondering if any of you had or have booked either of these bands to play at your wedding? My OH & I are really starting to panic now as it's less than a year to our wedding & we still don't have a band :eek

It's not for the lack of trying to find one tho......we've been to see loads! These are the next 2 on our list & any feedback on either wud be much appreciated :thnk

Hi there!
We had Electric Avenue and I honestly could not recommend them highly enough. They were absolutely amazing and were the talk of the night. They have serious energy and will have your guests on the dancefloor all night.The guitarist and sax players even came onto the dancefloor to play and at one stage the guitarist was on top of one of the tables giving it socks! They are 100% professional in their approach...so many wedding band musicians look bored when playing, no matter how good they sound. Not so with these guys. Seriously, if they are free , book them!!!

We didn't go with either of these in the end. We didn't even go to see them because we found another band that we loved.....'The Poor Boys'. Best of Luck with it - it's not an easy job!!

We just booked Electric Avenue for our wedding next year and I have to say, so far they have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. Allan, the main contact, is a real gent and so professional. He has bent over backwards so far to please us. He replies to emails straight away and has been so kind and considerate regarding deposit and booking arrangements.
We went to see them play a gig and both of us were blown away! The level of talent is outstanding!
I cannot wait to have them play at our wedding! :o)ll

No we haven't booked yet, we went to see Electric Aveue and I have to say I was really impressed, they are so energetic and I think that is really important, not boring at all.. some bands look dull! And as you say, Allan is very accomodating and easy to deal with. My fiance thinks we should hear another band before we book though. Have you ever heard them play a wedding? Do you think they play a wide enough range? Thanks again!

No, haven't heard them play at a wedding but I've read some great reviews from other brides! They are constantly widening their range of music and have loads of new 'chart' songs in their set. I have to say I love the 80's stuff they do and can imagine the floor being full all night long!! If you're not sure, I would say go and see a few others before making your mind up! I just knew as soon as I heard them that they were exactly what I wanted!

I've also booked electric avenue.Thought they were fantastic when we saw them play,can really get the crowd going.They're so easy to deal with,as someone else said,Allan replies to emails within a day..cant wait till they play at my wedding!!
