Looking for relaxed, family friendly venue with some nice outdoor space. We're considering Avon Ri in Blessington. Have you had your wedding there or attended a wedding there? If so can you let me know how it went. Love the complex, the views and the activities on offer for the next day but not sure about the size of the function room for 150 guests. Tnx

I attended a wedding there in September 2010. I was there as a +1 so didnt arrive until just before dinner. The food was lovely and the staff very attentive from what I remember. The only downside was the size of the room - the dancefloor was very small and it felt quite crowded at times. I think there was about 130 at the wedding.
The guesthouses are lovely and so many of them mean all your guests can stay onsite.
