Have been to three weddings here over the past few years - great venue and the food is fantastic!! Would definitely recommend it! Only reason we didnt book here ourselves is because we decided we'd like to go somewhere different to everyone else!

I was at a wedding there and the food was great. It was a beautiful day and they had some photos standing on the wall with the ocean behind. We all relaxed in the foyer and I liked the size and sqaureness of the recption room too... no guests wandering off or cluttering elsewhere. I tried Dunmore myself when I was venue hunting last year but they were fully booked on the dates I was after.

Hiya, getting married there ourselves soon.
Very very nice to deal with, the venue is fab and the food has a great reputation.
The only thing is the price. I'm finding it v.expensive and we're not getting any of the perks other couples are getting
-ie no taster meal, no free nights accommodation a year after the wedding,only bridal suite free accommodation on night, no great packages including drinks, awful corkage charge and then you have to PAY for the bar extension. O:|

very unreasonable considering current economic climate -ie we're all broke :weep

Oh no, that's awful!! We ended up haggling on all of those. The bar ext is expensive... our hotel tried to charge us 500 to start with!

was at my cousins wedding there few years ago. the food was yummy!! didnt see the stunning views, as it was a winter wedding, and it was dark by the time we got to the hotel, so didnt get to appreciate that. the drinks reception was lovely too. lovely warm atmosphere.

It's probably the busiest venue in West Cork and Carol and Anne-Marie (and all the staff) are great to deal with.
Don't hang around too long -it books out very fast.

Have to agree with that, all the staff are fabulous and friendly and Anne Marie is 5star at making you feel relaxed.
They book out fast because they have a well earned reputation - the food and service is always fantastic :compress

Oooh it's lovely, food and service are excellent. It was lashing out of the heavens the day we were there and it was still fab. Don't know what kind of package they offer, but from a guest's point of view, it was very good. Lovely bubbly too

I was at a wedding there a couple of years ago and i must say I loved it. The room was lovely and the food was absolutely fab - best wedding i've been to re: food. A few of us stayed in one of the houses on the grounds as we left so late booking a room. Would highly recommend it. The house was really big and worked out very reasonable between us all.
