Just had to post & give my feedback for this shop - I've been engaged since last Sept & looking for my dress since then & seriously from about Dec/Jan - I had an idea of styles I like, but wasn't sure what would ultimately suit me, or what I might like best. I went to a fair few shops & Just couldn't seem to find a thing. Was really getting on my nerves so I took a break for about two months. I started looking again about 3 weeks ago & found myself even more lost then ever. Nothing I tried felt like 'the one' & I was still so unsure as to what suits me best etc. I called White Orchid, I had heard that they stocked really nice stuff. I spoke to Ann on the phone, I explained my situation & the fact that I don't enjoy shopping at all.. After a lovely conversation (she had to practically counsel me!) We arranged an appointment & I went in the following day. Ann had advised me that the gowns they supply would be more on the elegant, plainer side which suited me down to a T. Well, what can I say.. the dresses are Stunning, the condition of them is unbelievable (due to their no fake tan & no make up rule) and the staff are brilliant. I had a full hour, all by myself, no interuptions, but the BEST thing by far, was that at no time did I feel under pressure & was given the time & space to come to my own conclusion about each dress I tried. (If I hear one more sales person saying 'now what I love about this dress is...' - not actually interested in what you love, i'll be the one wearing it....) Ann was just fantastic - she knows her stuff but just has a lovely, patient & understanding way about her. I ended up falling in love with the last dress I tried, the one that I thought I would go for least and ordered it on saturday, after a retry. The collection here is absolutly stunning, I found it to be something a little different to the other shops, but the service is head & shoulders above any other I received. Honestly can't recommend them enough. I was actually starting to dread the day, thinking that I'd finally have to 'make do' with some dress, but now I'm super excited to wear my fabulous dress & am again, counting down the days! Well worth a visit & the shop its self is really lovely, bright & spacious though fairly small. The overall impression is one of class, elegance & something a little bit differnt then what you find elsewhere. I hated the thought of wearing a 'forgettable' dress, but there's no fear of that. The quality & style of their collection is second to none & like I said, the icing on the cake is that the staff are so lovely & so knowledgable.
