The K Club

Hi all,

I'm currently trying to plan my wedding in Ireland from abroad.

We are considering booking the K club for next spring.

What are your views on the place? Good or bad.

Anything we need to be aware of?

Hope some of you can help. We have been to see the venue, but don't have any 'local knowledge' of the place!

Hi,

We were in the same boat last year when starting to plan our wedding. We were home for 4 weeks last June and we visited almost every 5 star hotel in Ireland. We started at the K club and a week later we arrived back from our trip to every other hotel to book it! No other hotel could compare in value for money, location, amazing grounds and service. Suzie the wedding planner is very helpful even now when I ring from Australia to follow up on a few things. We will be home a few weeks before the wedding to do tastings for the wedding menu but so far its been a dream with no hassles!

We are getting married in St Brigids church in Straffan and again this has been a dream. The lady at the parish office in Celbridge offers so much help. This just take so much stress out of organising a wedding from the other side of the world.

So just though I'd share our story.

We were just the same last week! Went to 14 venues in 3 days and ended up coming back to the K Club.

I too have found Susie very helpful so far.

Which room are you using? Have you managed to do any negotiating or gotten any extras thrown in?!
