I tried to book Tom for Fri 14th Sept.2012 and he and his colleague are booked that day unfortunately. :o( Does anybody have any other suggestions for us to look at as we are starting to get a bit worried now.I rang the Wicklow registry office to see if they could send a registrar up as we are getting married in the Stillorgan Park Hotel and its not too far away but they said no they cant. Would the actual registry office in Dublin be booked out at this stage on that date do you reckon as we dont want to go down that route as we have a ceremony room booked in the hotel but we might have to.....

hi all.

was just flipping through. I've not heard of the Victory centre, I don't know anything about them - have nothing for or against them. All I did was a google search to have a squiz.

personally, i'd suggest anyone looking into them, might want to see this.

yeah i;ve seen that stuff before.. but to be honest its the person I want not their reliigion.. we would love to marry in the catholic church which is my own faith but because my h2b was previously married and his ex broke the laws of marriage he has to be punished.. so we are forced to have a civil ceremony!!!!
Looking forward to our NYE wedding...

Hi all,
Could someone please help me with the following....
We are thinking about going to Tom also and we have him provisionally booked. We were just wondering a few things tho...
I know The charge is €410 all together but do we also have to pay €150 to the hse registrar?
Is it a legal binding as it says somewhere on the website that it is not legal?
Also what was the ceremony like all together?

Thanks a mil

Vicky.

Yes the cost of €150 is still applicable as this is payable to the Civil Registrar for them to give you the relevant documentation to facilitate the marriage in the first place.
Ceremonies with Tom Colton are legally binding as he is listed with the registrar as a person who can officate over marriage ceremonies. You can confirm that he is listed if you log onto the Civil Registrar website and there is a list there showing all those that are registered to legally carry out a wedding ceremony.
I too am having Tom and currently working on pulling my ceremony together.

Hi girls,

I've booked Tom Colton for our wedding next August and was wondering if any if you would mind sharing your ceremony layout. We're hoping to have a non-religious ceremony and weren't too sure about using what he had sent through. I'm so unsure of what to put in it as I've never attended a ceremony like it before!

Any help is appreciated girls!

I know I won't be doing booklets as I can't justify the expense, I also feel people might pay more attention to reading the booklets than to what's being said in the ceremony. That's just my thoughts it's really just a matter of preference in both cases, civil and religious.

I was at a wedding fair and Tom Colton was there. I didnt have a clue who he was or what he did he was just another stand. As I walked past him he said to me 'Hi (my real name). I was like where do I know him from..just said Hi and walked past. My sisters were with me and as we sat down for something to eat I said to my sister where do we know him from? She hadnt a clue who he was either. So I came home never thought about him again. Roll on a month or two and I seen his name mentioned here. I googled him as I just had a gut feeling it was him..and low and behold it was him. I would just love to know how he knew my name.
