Solemnisers? How long does it take?!

Hi all, anyone know how long of a process it is to get a priest on the solemnisers list? Or can i do it myself? My Uncle is marrying us, buthe is in South Africa at the moment and cant get in touch with him. Need him on the list before we registrar on the 3rd of May! Worried we won't have it done on time!
