Documents needed for marraige.

Hi Ladies.
My husband to be was born in America and moved back to Ireland when he was 3. The registar has told us he needs to have an apostile seal on his birthcert. We were told that he will also need a babtismal cert. From reading the forum I see that some peple have to get a letter of freedom.Do I really need all thesedocuments and is there anything else that I need. Can someone advise how we go about getting the apostile seal. It all seems so complicated!!!

We had to do it for my fiance's UK birth cert and it was pretty painless and cost 30 pounds. It might be more complicated in US, so I'd advise you to start sorting it out as soon as you possibly can, just in case.
