Baptized? is it necessary??

Hi ladies,

this is my first message – I presume of many. I am looking for some advice. My fiancé isn’t baptized and we wanted to get married in the Catholic Church. I’ve book the church – but not mentioned this “small” matter to anyone.

Does anyone know if we both need to be christened?

No you don't both have to be Catholic, but at least one of you does! You will be going at as a Catholic marrying a non-Christian. You do need to tell your priest and you need to write a letter to your bishop asking permission for the marriage. Your priest can tell you how to do this, it's actually quite painless.
