Confirmation Cert - Help

Hey,

Very confusing situation. When i was a baby, i was very ill and got baptised and confirmed (or so i thought i was) went to get my certs from church and they only have my baptisimal cert and no confitmation cert. my aunt was there when it all happened and she said i was definately confirmed. priest obviously forgot to take a note that he confirmed me.

if i have to go about getting confirmed again, is it a big process or just a blessing?

would love your help, did not think i would have this kinda hassle.

Hmm, I'm no expert but I would have presumed that you can't be confirmed as a baby, because the point of confirmation is to confirm your baptism yourself, which obviously a baby cannot do. Did you not make your confirmation at the end of primary school? If you have been baptised it shouldn't be too complicated to get confirmed but you'll have to speak to your priest about it, I'm not sure if they'll have to fit you into a schedule or what. HTH

no ive heard of people getting confirmed as a baby before when they are really sick. only got a blessing at the end of primary school as everyone presumed i had made my confirmation. priest is looking into it at the moment so hopefully should be easily sorted. :wv
