I'm glad the OP & her partner have resolved the issue now.

I suppose the only thing (thinking about it) that would worry me, apart from thinking he's lying in a ditch, is that if something happened, like an emergency situation & what do you say? I don't know where my OH is....

An ex of mine years ago was out one night, his dad got a heart-attack & died- he had several missed calls on his phone, his sister was trying to ring him, didn't hear his phone with the noise of the pub. :o( BY the time he saw the calls & got to the hospital it was too late. I know that situation was different, but if something happens & your OH is uncontactable, or worse, you don't even know where he is, personally thats what I'd find very hard to deal with.

This happened to my sister. Her husband was out all night with work colleagues. She was at home with their 2 kids. He finally returned the next day with some BS story. She didn't believe him and after quizzing and quizzing him about it over a number of days he finally admitted he was with his EX-GIRLFRIEND that he'd met in the pub!! My sister left him but has since forgiven him and they are back together now but that's another story...

Dh did this a few times before we got married and we had a son at that stage. It used to drive me absolutely demented! I would be so upset with no phonecall, no respect for me or our ds to just not call and let me know he was alive! But after we got married it more or less stopped so I definitely wouldn't advise to jump to conclusions and assume the worst. Some peoples minds work overtime and they imagine all sorts happening when it can be pretty innocent yet stupid immature behaviour.

i dont think he was doing anything like cheating..i think he was doing what he might have done in his 20's and needed to let off steam.
i think he went out with the lads,
had a few pints then a few lines,
and was still flying hi when the sun came up,
it was such a beautiful sight to see that they had another few lines to celebrate gods beautiful world,by that time it was 7-7.30am and the couple of lines he just had would keep him going a while,so they sat up talking about the wonders of the world, fell asleep woke up on a come down and said there is no way i can go home in this state, and tried to sort himself out?
it does not excuse him not calling,if it was my OH he would need to be in the hospital not to ring me..but when the drinks "ahem" in the sense is out!
thats just my opinion, but i could be wrong!

It is a fact that all men aren't like that, not an opinion. I'm not being narky at all.

i think errigal was just making a generalisation to make light of the situation and make OP feel a bit better, i dont think she was intentionally slagging off all men. How many times have we all said to a girl with man bother 'sure they are all a bunch of tossers'...you only have to walk into ladies loo in a bar at 1am on a sat night :o0
