How did you feel...?

Re: How did you feel...?

On the morning of the wedding my brother sent a card to my room saying how proud he was to be my brother and how wonderful I was. I had to put it down about three times when I was trying to read it as it made me well up.
And then there was a knock at the door and it was a bouquet of flowers and a card from H2B, which was a lovely surprise. The card said how he couldn't wait to marry me. That was quite emotional too.

I had a fit of the giggles at the end of the aisle when I was waiting to walk up the aisle which was great for the nerves. everyone says how the aisle is a blur, so I made sure to take it in, looking at my friends and catching people's eyes as I walked up. I was beaming from ear to ear. I caught my H2B's eye about half way up and I struggled to retain my composure, but as I passed my aunt she whispered "you look gorgeous" which made me smile again :)

awww, I'm married :lvs :lvs Still feels odd to say that!

I felt on a high all day from the minute I got up and had my sister pounce on me with excitement to get up and get married!!!
Seriously walking up the aisle is so special, everyone is smiling at you and wishing you well and hubby is standing at the top looking rediculously handsome all scrubbed up! You'll love every minute of it and it really is the most special time for the 2 of u. You won't feel it and it will be your time so enjoy all the planning!

I was very excited all day. I did have a twinge of tears when I was leaving to get dressed and saw my dogs in the car, they'd spotted me but I was running late so I didn't have time to cuddle them (we had a photo with them at the venue). Then when we were coming up the avenue to the venue in the carriage I had to take a deep breath, I remember saying to my folks that I thought I might get sick :hic Once we got to the venue everyone came out to take photos and the nerves melted away, that was also helped by a guest accidentally flinging her camera's batteries at me as I entered the room :o0 Walking in with my dad I was laughing and smiling the whole time, once I got up to DH it was like there was nobody else in the room. We had a big laugh when the best man produced the ring box and instead of our rings being inside my father had taped in two plumbers washers :yelrotflmaosmilie:

I hate to say "I was so calm" because I know brides can be nervy but I was calm. We had a civil ceremony the week before so that took the edge off, no matter what happened on the day we were married! I think having the hair and makeup come to the house was one of the best decisions I made, worth every penny and we were so relaxed and having so much fun it really made things run very smoothly. Also, photographer and videographer were on time, again I booked reliable suppliers so things ran on time.

I had told everyone I would be on time and I was! I did feel a bit "OMG, I AM A BRIDE, THIS IS MY WEDDING DAY" posing for family pics at home in my finery. I couldn't wait to get going, I didn't like hanging around and I wanted to party! The aisle walk and ceremony were lovely, then straight out to bubbly and chatting with friends and family, then some pics, then dinner - it was one of the most fun days we had because we were determined to let go and not worry about a thing. It was one big party, that's all we kept hearing, everyone had a great time.

Hi,
Have to say its the best feeling in the world. I was really calm all morning and enjoyed the fun of getting my hair and make up done, arrives home and my brother had breakfast cooked. Ate a full fry with tea and toast!! The photographer arrived and soon it was time to go to the church. Mam gave me a card from my husband to be and that made me cry but with happiness it was so unexpected but so so nice just saying how he could not wait to be my husband and to remember this was our day!!! :xox I was super excited and could not wait to walk up the aisle. Took 2 deep breaths before starting the walk, didnt realise I was walking quickly until my Dad gently pulled my arm and said its not a Flip race you know!!!! I got a fit of the giggles there and then looks quite funny on the dvd. Everyone said it was lovely to see me smiling coming up the aisle...little did they know I was about to burst out laughing. When my hubby turned around he just said Wow you look stunning and then to be honest the day flew past us. So enjoy EVERY MINUTE. I would love to do it all over again.

I had to go to the hair salon to get my hair done that morning, i threw up in their bathroom and then popped into the chemist to pick up a few bits and started balling at the counter when i was paying, when i got home to get make-up done I couldn't speak or eat, my dad brought me in a small glass of brandy to try and settle me, the nerves lasted all day for me, tummy was in knots even when i got to reception and sat down for dinner couldn't eat a thing.

I was happy i got married though!

Hi all,

I could hardly sleep a wink all night before our wedding. Was soooo excited. My sisters and I had such a laugh all night. The morning of the wedding was beautiful. Was so relaxed in the hairdressers and all I could think about was walking up the aisle to the man of my dreams.

When I got into the car with my dad the driver was driving so slowly and all I wanted to do was to go as quickly as possible to get to my husband to be. I thought I wouldn't cry walking up the aisle but once I got in the door the church was so beautiful (my poor dad broke his ankle two weeks before the wedding - on crutches) and all the emotions just hit me (Songbird playing in the background sung by gospel choir) BUT there were no tears as I had eyelash extensions which I knew that I could not cry with or I wouldn't be able to open my eyes (add to that my dad on crutches!!!lol) (so try them out before hand - I loved mine so got them again but before the wedding the hairdresser cut my hair too chort & I bawled my eyes out - soooo painful with the eyeglue from the eyelash extensions...soooo funny thinking of the drama before the wedding). We didn't want to leave the chuch, it was so perfect, the ceremony, priest, family, friends, decor, music and most importantly an amazing new huband!!! After that I expected the day to go so quickly but while we could have stayed there forever, we enjoyed every moment so it didnt seem to go as quickly as everybody said it would.
Words can't describe the feelings that surrounded the most special time in our lives - miss it so much :(
It was the most special day of my life.

Aww girlies, enjoy every moment before and during your wedding and wiching you all a happily ever after :) :) :)

I have to say I was so calm too.
I did all my stressing I'm Spetember, the month before the wedding, once I finished work I made a deal with myself that I would relax and enjoy every second.
We flew out to Sorrento, Italy on Saturday the 8th October, a few days before our guests, got stuff done, had a few drinks and dinners out ourselves and even managed to have an allergic reaction to mahi mahi fish the night before our families were arriving, nothing stressed me :o0
The morning of the wedding was relaxing, everyone was calm, the only person who was emotional as my BM, she couldn't stop, I was laughing at her :o0
Walking up the aisle was the best feeling ever, surprisingly I was waving and smiling at everyone, thought I'd be crying. It I held it together. I welled up when my nephew did a reading and then during g our vows. My dad kept me so calm before the ceremony,he kept saying things he used to say to me as a child, funny stuff :lvs
Would love to do it all again..
