I felt very nervous the whole morning of the wedding, remember sitting in the hairdressers and she asked me if I was ok, could only nod cause I knew if I opened my mouth I would start crying.
Left the hairdressers to go to the beauticians down the street, had hair done and veil on, passed a woman and her small child, she looked at me and said I looked beautiful, that set me off, couldn't stop the tears, was grand then in the beauticians cause my mam was there waiting for me.

Next few hrs were grand then cause there was alot of hussle and bussle at home. Remember getting to the church and standing at the bottom with my dad, the girls started up the aisle and then it was my turn and all of a sudden I looked at dad and the tears came again, could barely compose myself, think the emotion of wat was going on just hit me.

When I got to the top and my future husband was waiting for me all the nerves disappeared, no tears the rest of the day!!!!!

Loved every min of the day, it absolutely flew, it was so worth all the hassle before it!!!!

i got married in the registry office on the Friday and a blessing on the Saturday in the hotel.

i think cause we had the two ceremonies i wasn't as nervous on the sat, we only had 24 ppl at the reg office which was really really lovely, nice and relaxed!

i stayed in the bridal suite in the hotel the night before on my own, went to bed around 12 and was sitting up watching tv at 5.30am! just couldn't sleep cause i was soo excited. we where all getting ready in the bridal suite so was really busy between hair and make up! i managed to eat some breakfast about 7.30 with my hairdresser but that was it, dont think i would have been able to stomach anything else!

my dad came to collect me from my room 10 mins before the ceremony and thats where i got a bit emotional, he started to cry alot!!! which made me get a little upset, but i managed to save my makeup! :o0 i wasnt nervous walking up the aisle cause i decided not to look at anyone! more worried that my dad was ok! bless him!

have to say it was the best day of my life! i felt like a million dollars. but it really did fly in!

best of luck with your day!!!

I wasn't nervous at all! My mum thought there was something wrong with me :o0 The whole day goes by in such a whirl that lots of the memories are snapshots of parts that have stuck in my brain! I remember walking down the aisle and seeing all my friends smiling at me and once I got to top and saw dh was like no one else was there. I know, v cheesy! :-8
Then after the mass all the guests left the church first (an Italian tradition) and we got few photos in church ourselves and then went out to everyone. Dad had organised champagne for everyone outside and can vividly remember the doors of the church opening and seeing everyone outside in the sun drinking champagne! Was cool.
My granny couldn't go as it was too far to travel but church has webcam so she went over to a friends and friends daughter set it up and my granny and all her friends had their own little wedding party watching the webcam! We rang her when we got back to the hotel and she could tell us everything! She's hilarious! She said Dad never stopped fanning himself with the mass booklet the whole way through!

The day flies by but you'll have the best day ever! :o)ll

I really enjoyed all the hustle and bustle of getting married, people coming in/out of hotel room to do hair/makeup /nails - I was pretty calm (which I didnt expect) -
When my bouquet arrived it hit me! I'M GETTING MARRIED. I was so excited then - putting my dress on was so exciting and my mom trying to tie the back of it.

I got nervous then when I had to meet my Dad down in reception and he was going to walk me down the steps/pathway and then the aisle! When my dad saw me he shed a tear (which he NEVER ever does) and I didn't want to cry and ruin my make up but I had a lump in my throat alright!!

So I went down the stairs with him and my BM holding my dress - felt so many emotions at this stage!

Then when I got to the aisle - seeing everyone there waiting for me - feeling so nervous at this stawge - when I saw Hubby I will never forget his expression and how he looked at me and how we were just fixated on each other and total calm!

Saying our vows was awesome - then afterwards everyone congratulating us, getting the photos taken and then going in for the reception and being announced as MR&MRS! Some people made really touching lovely speeches. Then the dancing / music was fab and cutting the cake was a great memory (we had fireworks as we cut the cake)

My advice is to enjoy every minute - it goes by so fast!!!

I have to say it really was the best day of my life

The day went by so fast

I was really relaxed in the morning even though my stomach was a bit sick

When we arrived at the church and i was walking down the aisle with my dad to butterfly kisses the emotion of the day just hit me and i started crying but smiling through my tears - it was great to see everyone there for us and then to see my now hubby at the top waiting for me

I got emotional again during the speeches especially when i was doing one and thanked my parents and looked over at them

I felt very calm all day, although I am a real worrier and stresser. I really enjoyed the morning time getting ready and getting my hair and make up done etc. Was just really happy and excited. There were little hiccups throughout the day and evening as always but my level of happiness was much higher and it wasn't worth getting stressed over them. Going up the aisle was a bit nerve racking alright because of all the people but it was wonderful to see DH smiling at the top and the church ceremony was my favourite part of the whole day. Also I loved the last dance with DH more than the first one, which the dj got wrong.

Woke up at 6.30am in parents house, found card my dh had put into my overnight bag "To my wife on our Wedding Day" was delighted with it, got up for cup of tea and my mam obviously heard me up and came down to me she saw the card and she started crying straight away. Hairdresser and makeup artist arrived to house along with 2 sisters. Totally calm but sooooo excited. Got hair done and was in middle of getting make up done wen a massive bouquet of red roses arrived for me from dh, held it together until i read the card with them then started crying for about a min then thought about my poor makeup artist so that didn't last long :o0 . Got ready and couldn't wait to get to the church so excited at this stage, was shoving everyone out of the house nearly :o0 . was on top of the world walking down the aisle and for the rest of the day. Mam said I was the calmest bride she'd ever seen. Started crying (as did nearly every female there) during dh's speech so romantic (which he never is).
Sorry for rabbiting on, but main thing is enjoy ur day and don't worry about anything it's the best day of your life. :wv
