Realta, I know exactly how you feel! People said to me that being married makes no difference but can't say I agree with them. It feels lovely being able to call him my husband now, God knows we waited long enough to be husband and wife!
Marge: Homer, is this how you pictured married life?
Homer: Yeah, pretty much, except we drove around in a van solving mysteries.

Thankfully we're moving on to planning for a move to Oz in October, so I've a new project straight away. I don't really feel any different, other than feeling exhausted, although we are much more lovey dovey than usual! I love calling him my husband :xox Have physically completely crashed since the wedding, have more or less been sick ever since. We got married abroad so married life so far has been a bit poo - lots of laundry and cleaning to do as soon as we got home. Straight back to work, back to reality with a bang, really wish we could go back to Italy!
I find the name change stuff quite unnerving. I haven't decided if I'll take hubbies name yet, I decided myself that if I get used to it I'll change it when my passport and drivers licence expire, but otherwise I'll stay as I am. However, everyone assumes I have changed my name and we have gotten quite a few gift cheques in my "new" name, despite the fact that I haven't made any changes yet and don't plan to. Very awkward for banking purposes! Part of me thinks I should just change for a quiet life...but a huge part of me is going "NOOOOOOO, I LOVE MY NAME!!"

well girls its official, i've been hit with the broody stick!!! :o0

Myself and hubby are talking about when we'll start, i've been taking folic acid for 3 weeks now, but was talking to my mum last night and she didn't take it for any of us (it wasn't the done thing back then) i'd have a fairly healthy diet as it is- especially before the wedding with all the salads etc I was eating. so maybe we won't wait the 14 weeks thats recommended.....hhhmmmmm!

Hubby is changing jobs so we might wait another month or two till he's settled in and then hope for some :babydust:

how are all you July wives getting on?

I'm just back to work this week - with a wallop. Thousands of emails to go through - I'm allergic! Being sent abroad again next week, so my plans to change my name are on hold for a little bit - started getting really worried it'd go through while i was out of the country!!
Still in two minds about my name - I feel like I want to keep my maiden name but I've committed to changing and I've told everyone I will be - if i chicken out now everyone will know i did!!

Minnie, i know exactly how you feel about the report!!! Part of me can't wait to write it up and relive everything again, and the other part is refusing to write it.. I think I've got about two lines written so far out of two hours pretending to write it with an eye on the telly yesterday.

game on

I'm still putting off doing my report but will do it this weekend.

I got my thank you cards delivered today, got them from thankyoucards.ie, they were fantastic and will be handing them out to the inlaws tomorrow at my oh's niece's 1st birthday party. Actually, you could say its out first gathering as a married couple - mad isnt it!!!!!

I have all my momentos put away for any future kids to have a look at and use on their wedding day. I'm still debating on wether or not to get my dress cleaned. I've got it in the wardrobe hanging up but need to source a box for it to store it soon.

Still have to sort out what photos we want for the album too. And I cannot wait till i get the DVD, I will be in bits watchen it.

Wedding organising never finishes when the day is over!!!!!!

Hi July wives!
Am delighted to join this thread!!! Married five weeks today! My dh is working tonight and as I opened a leftover bottle of wedding wine I thought I'd check out wol for the first time since the wedding!!
We had a super day, really and truly fantastic! There was a stressful moment here and there (like when we were about to take the floor for the first dance and my mother insisted she had to go to her room to take her hat off and we'd just have to wait for her and returned 20 mins later grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I could have killed her :action34 - the band cost a FORTUNE!!!!!!!!)
But apart from that I really wouldn't change a thing! We got fab photos taken that I'm dying to see! When should we get proofs from our photographer do you think?
Honeymoon was an anticlimax after the wedding tbh! And after 3 and a half wks we were quite happy to get home again!!!
We are staying with dh's mother for two weeks until we can move into a rented house while our house is being built, and I can't wait til we're in our own place and I can cook dinner and do wifey things!!! :-8

Meant to reply re babies!
Surprisingly nobody has asked us yet!!! We must be the only ones?!
We were planning on getting started trying straight away............but our first destination on honeymoon was Fiji and it was crammed with young children and families. We decided we were definitely NOT ready yet and we're going to wait til after Christmas at least before trying and just enjoy some 'us' time for a few months!!!
But..........I might start taking the folic acid....just in case! :o0

Hello to all fellow july wives!
We had a fab wedding day everything went so well apart from both our individual candles went out after we lit them, which the priest made a funny joke about the marriage lasting longer then the candles!!!!! Came back from honeymoon last Sunday and woke up Monday so so sick, vomitting, pains aches etc. Of course the first thing my sister asked was i pregnant?? Which im def not, not planning kids just yet. Left my dress into be cleaned on thursday as there were tan marks and they would turn yellow. Cannot wait to get the photos now and get working on the thank you cards.

We had a great day, everything went off so well and I think everyone had a great time. Trying not to think about the niggly things that weren't perfect (although they werw sooo small noone else noticed) but I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I'm never happy :o0

Just back from HM today, had a fantastic time, south africa is an amazing country. Not looking forward to work on Tuesday :weep
