Any little disasters on your Wedding Day?

Any little disasters on your Wedding Day?

Postby bagsbycarmel » Mon Feb 06, 2022 7:28 pm

Hi All

I'm doing a very short survey and was wondering if you could help.

Did any of you experience any little mishaps or disasters on your Wedding Day that you were unprepared for?
(Eg; Buttons popped on your dress and no one had a sewing needle or blisters from your wedding shoes and no one had a plaster?)

Thanks

The only mishap we had was the best man forgetting to get the rings out of our car. I was going in our car but in the end my aunt had upgraded her rental to a merc so we went in that. The BM nearly had a heart attack when he saw our car driving into the church yard and when my mum heard what he was looking for she gave him a major piece of her mind. Thankfully that was the only thing that went a little off side.

The week of the wedding my dd got chicken pox!!

The day before we had a last minute cancellation because of a family disagreement! Really didn't expect that as we never have any issues!

The morning of our wedding my MUA turned up 45 mins late and the little metal hook at the top of my dress broke.

But the day was still perfect!!

:yelrotflmaosmilie:

But it does seem fake - why would she step out of it instead of trying to cover up more?

Disaster is a strong word, s some dying or the hubby not turning up would be a disaster :o0
We got married in Sorrento and spent 12 days there. The only day it rained was on our wedding day..for 6 hours..heavily! We managed the ceremony outside, lucky with that, it our outdoors reception had to be mo ed indoors..not a disaster just a minor mishap.
Also, the bruschetta we had for one of the starters could have cracked even the best of teeth! Thats all I can think of.
