how long did you wait for you DVD? UPDATE!

iv put this in OF but iv no answers yet.
im married 8wks this thursday and still no sign of the wedding dvd,
is this a normal waiting period?

I'm not too sure, we had ours after 4 weeks it was ready while we were on HM.

thanks for reply,thats what i thought,8 weeks is a very long time,iv him paid in full and i havent heard a peep from him,apart from 2 weeks after the wedding i rang him and he said if i emailed 15 songs he'd getting started on the edit :eek

so for 2 weeks he dident do a thing with it...i'll getting on the phone to him tomorrow

We were told 12 weeks (cinematic editing takes a lot longer) but due to unforseen circumstances we've been waiting 6 months...getting it this weekend :o)ll

I know, it's taken so long and I'm finally running out of patience! It's going to be amazing though and can't wait, the videographer has apologised loads for the delay but I believe his reasons are genuine, he was always very up-front with us. We didn't hassle him too much in case he did a rush job to keep us happy, we just want his best work and we know it takes time...

We had a little highlights clip ready a week or so after the HM and from memory it would have been about eight weeks max when we got the whole thing. I've known some people wait months though!

hi have been waiting a year and a half for our dvd.. just dont know what to do.. any advice would be appreciated.. in constant contact with the dvd man but we just get excuse after excuse. :o(

thats awful,have you paid him already? i dont know what you should do,maybe the next time you are talking to him,tell him you want the original he cant say thats not ready!
it wont be edited but you are sure to find someone who will be able to that for you....if it was me though,i think i would be hounding him untill i got it

hi thanks for reply,, definatly a good idea about original, but its the cost he will not refund the money as he says he is still working on it and we aould have to pay someone else to edit it.. so cant afford it.. and yes we paid him in full before the wedding O:|

I am raging!!
i sent an email 2 days ago,asking when it would be ready
i got a reply this morning,nothing about how are you or sorry for the wait just an email saying pick 15songs from the song list

I SENT THE LIST OF 15 SONGS TO HIM LAST MONTH!!!
i replied,telling him this and said i will look in my inbox and resend which i have done....
my problem is,when i spoke to him 2 weeks after the wedding, again asking what are the next steps,how long to wait etc,he said send on the songs,i was a bit annoyed at this because it took me to ring him to even know i had to send on songs,and it also ment that for 2 wks he hadent done a thing with our dvd nor would he have unless i rang him!
then i send on the songs,he is saying he dident get them,so why not ring me?? or email me to say he dident get them!
im so mad at this stage because every evening i see him putting clips of weddings he has just done on facebook...why the hell is he not doing mine!! and like a fool,iv him paid in full!!!

can you look at the clips on facebook and see what dates those weddings were on - might give you an idea of how long he takes to finalise them.

If the names of bride or groom are there send them a PM asking how long they waited as maybe he is just doing highlight clip of their DVD's and not actually furnished them with full copies.
