folks, I've been taking pregnacare whenever I can but these days are few and far between now. They either wont go down or wont stay down

Can anyone recommend one that they find easy to take pretty please??
(that is, if they exist!)

I swear by the pregnacare myself but maybe have a chat with your gp or pharmacist and see if they recommend anything. Are you eating before you take them? I found, especially early on in my pregnancy that if I ate brekky before I took them I was fine with them.

I found PregnaPlan easier to take. But not all chemists stock them. For some reason, the independent pharmacies seem to have them, but I can never find them in the likes of Boots. Don't know why.

I had no problems with the Sanatogen Pro Natal. Ante natal class told us to try something like Spatone as well as our iron requirements are so high. You get them in sachets, mix them with juice so it tastes yummy and they don't have any of the side effects of usual iron supplements such as feeling sick or constipation. Although I only started on them yesterday!

Petunia, I am not pregnant but I'm TTC and take the boots Mum To Be Plus. They have a little bit of ginger in them which is supposed to be good for your tummy. Best of luck

thanks for the suggestions folks

Was in chemist today and they only had Pregnaplan, no Sanatogen pro natal, so couldnt compare them. I got the pregnaplan (they look like big beggers!) and sher if they're a disaster I'll just go try the other ones!

These supplements seem to have the iron rda %, are we supposed to be topping up our iron intake on top of this? I already have stacks of Spatone if thats the case.
Sorry if thats a silly question.....

Petunia don't know if it's required at your stage but midwife told us to top up our RDA with spatone.

Hi there,

Just to say all the health food shops have a few different types of pre natal multivitamins too, I have been taking Higher Nature Mum to be which seems to have alot of good stuff in it. They also have one called first chapter pre natal which has everything from fruit and veg stacked away in them along with all your omegas.

Best of luck x
