Gluten Free Wedding Cake

Hi All,

New Wollie here :wv . Just wondering if any of you know of anyone that would do a Gluten Free Wedding cake (either the full cake or just one tier). We are getting married in Carlow next April. I don't want to be NOT able to eat my own wedding cake - it's bad enough that my meal will be different!

We are finding it quite hard to get anyone that has and knowledge of Gluten Free. I did have a local girl that was going to do it that is brillant, but she has only gone and moved abroad :weep

Ballyk2013, just to suggest what I am doing for my DS Christening... I am making the Christening Cake myself but I am making a second gluten free cake as DS's Godmother is coeliac. I am making chocolate biscuit cake using gluten free biscuits. I did a trial run at the weekend and the gluten free biccies were grand in it. May be worth suggesting to whoever you get to do your cake eventually.

Hi there 3 members of my family are coeliac and I am doing something similar having on layer of gluten free biscuit cake which I am making myself and it is GORGEOUS even if I say so myself!! I had looked into traditional gluten free wedding cake and there is a place in Cork www.delicious.ie that does gluten free wedding cake along with lots of other foods and they deliver

Thanks everyone. I have since heard that the girl doing my cake will be back in April as she was just doing an internship in London. I'm so happy now, as I know I can trust her, plus she has now learned even more skills to make our cake Fab.

She is based in Carlow, so you can PM me if you are interested in her details. She mainly does regular wedding and special event cakes, but can also cater for special dietary needs.
