Would you be dissapointed with this menu

This is our second marraige so just wanted to do things a little different, so we have chosen the following menu.

Arrivals Menu:

Punch Reception (Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic)

Freshly Brewed Tea or Coffee

Presentation Cone of Fresh Strawberries, Fluffy Marshmallows accompanied by luxurious melted chocolate for dipping

Main Menu:

Starter: Tapas selection four of the following

Home Smoked Chicken Crostini, Garlic Aioli
Pat O’Neils Enniscorthy Black Pudding, Apple & Walnut Salad
Salmon Mayonnaise
Shrimp Marie Rose
Classic Tomato Bruschetta on Homemade Foccacia Bread
Cherry Tomato Stuffed with Chorizo Cream Cheese

Main Course:

Beef & Guinness Pie, Crisp Pie Topping, Carrots, Mixed Greens and Mash Potatoes
or
Fish & Chips, Mushy Peas, Tartare sauce

Dessert
Strawberries, Maple Ice Cream in a Tuille Basket

Freshly Brewed tea or Coffee

Its a bit of a twist on the normal Beef or Salmon but the closer I get the more concerned I am that people will hate it, we wanted it to be less formal, we have tried these dishes out as they are a speciality of the hotel and its really tastefully done.

Sounds lovely, except for having strawberries twice. Maybe a different fruit would be better as some people will probably overdo it on the chocolate strawberries at the start!

Thanks for the feedback girls, Good suggestion Dyml22 was I actually thinking about that and might change it to Apple Pie & Pavlova or sticky toffee pudding, what ye think?

Just read your wedding menu and i think it sounds so yummie. Im actually really envious cause i wish our wedding menu was more like that. And i would love to have fish and chips at my wedding. I think all your guests will be talking about how nice the food was at your wedding for a long time after. Enjoy ! O-O

Not at all disappointed, sounds gorgeous. I love my food and your menu sounds brilliant. Far better then your usual beef & salmon or the worst ever turkey and ham, just not my cup of tea at all!!!
Your menu sounds real fun and really tasty, just simple food done well.
