Just wondering if any of you are just having tea and cofee for guests on arrival without wine or champagne reception. Our package is only for tea anc cofee and corkage charge is €12 per bottle.

There is halfbottle wine per person with the meal and we were going to do drink of choice for the toast. Would it appear better to have a drinks reception on arrival of guests inseted of drink of choice?
any opinions, help....

If I were you I'd go for drinks at the reception and buy in wine/champagne. A drink of choice at the bar can end up costing alot more than you expect especially if people are buying spirits with mixers. Although €12 a bottle is robbery. I would try and bargain them down to 9.

If it helps

I had wine at table and a toast drink of own choice

Pre-reception
Cocktails/Canapes/biscuits
tea/coffees for non drinkers/drivers

We had a smallish wedding so didnt bother with sparkling wine/champagne not keen on it but like my cocktails :hic
