I just had a huge fight with DH. He was shouting and doing his very best arched eyebrows. I was totally right in the argument (as usual ) but I didnt rise to the argument I just walked out into the living room and fed DS. Then when I went upstairs to put DS to bed I cried Im a wuss! I hate fighting with people especially DH. Are you tough as old nails or do you crumble in an arugument??

I cry. Drives me mental and total derails any argument we are having. On the otherhand it does end any argument too. Its very hard to argue with someone who can't string a sentence together

I'm the opposite, I shout and he's been known to cry I'm SO stubborn and spoilt, whereas he prefers to keep the peace, so he always crumbles first, I could hold a grudge for days

I'm def a crier. No matter what it's a about. I tend to be the one who holds back and walks away. Think I hold things in more than him. He will always be the one to make up though. Probably cos it's usually his fault

Whenever we have a fight, which thankfully is rare, there'll be shouting, then a few hours of not speaking which I usually break by shouting some more and definitely lots of tears. OH could do the no talking thing for days and not see anything wrong with it, his parents haven't spoken to each other in years so it's the norm in his head, whereas I totally freak out, when I was growing up fighting was always loud and dramatic in our house full of women (an Italian household, my mum used to call it!!), I need that or I think that the world is ending with all the tense silence. UGH. He said he hates when I cry though cos he feels like he can't be angry about things anymore and wants to comfort me, I can't help it, I'm a crier, but also, if it diffuses his temper then I'm going to keep it up!

It all depends on what the arugment is about. Sometimes I'll cry, especially if I'm tired. But if I am really angry, I can't cry at all! Thing is, my DH is impossible in an argument! If I say " this is how I feel", he'll say "it's always about how you feel, this is how I feel". SO he's saying the exact same as me, whilst giving out to me for having the same feelings as him, then thats a new argument...& so on. Then I get completely confused. Ridicolous really. I used to be the type who could go for ages without making up, but we have a DS so I've had to stop that, but I don't forget things too easily. We are both very stubborn but I will never be the submissive wife so he's definetly met his match

I'm a wench in a fight if I know I'm right (which is 95% of the time.)
I have a good auld rant at him, he tries to fight back, but its pointless. Then I leave him to stew for a few hours/overnight and then he admits I was actually right and he's sorry.

My OH doesn't really do fights, well maybe he does but in such a way that he remains calm and reasonable the WHOLE time....it's so annoying! Our fights are usually - Me flying off the handle, having a good old rant ....Him just listening nodding, totally cam and then he says something that completely explains everything and I just "oh, yeah I suppose so" and secretly thinking "Damn you, you reasonable pr!ck!!"

Hubby has a tendancy to fly off the handle quite quickly, and over stupid little things. He does the roarin' and I'm the one who then gives the silent treatment - and The Look! I do give out, but not at the same volume level as hubby (roaring is normal talking in his house-9yrs on and I'm still not used to it) One thing I find very hard to do - is say sorry, hubbys always giving out to me about that. I know he's right, but I'm usually still silently fuming inside, so saying sorry is the last thing on my mind.

I'm a crier, I hate fighting with anyone especially him. We have the argument, then some silent treatment, I cry, then he thinks he should leave me alone till I calm down which is fine if its an hour or so but if it goes on longer I think the world is about to end and cry some more meanwhile he thinks all is going back to normal. Peace is restored when either I break the silence and he apologises or he says sorry by not actually saying sorry, but cooks or brings me out for dinner or some kind of gesture. He's really bad at saying sorry.

I can give the silent treatment for hours, its always OH that says sorry first. If we're having a mad fight then I can be raging and I'll start cleaning and banging stuff around but if I'm upset then I'll go to bed and cry. If I'm really upset I'll get into the car, drive somewhere quiet and go for a walk.
We dont have the "mad" fights too often though, they're mainly reserved for my brother. Since we were young, he's the only one that can wind me up to a point of crazy. I really can understand how people "flip" and kill someone (not that I condone it or anything!) We used to kill each other, theres holes in our bedroom doors at home from where we kicked them in...

We've actually never had a fight.
Sometimes i worry about what it will be like when we eventually do, because I don't actually know what a fight between us *looks* like - what if he's a total mentaller?? Of course I'm sure he's not, but it's weird not to know. Surely it can't be such smooth sailing forever...
